No real pit today. An average day filled with doing average things, Worked out for a while, sat around for a while, cleaned the pool for a while, wrote on the forum for a while, fed my face for a while and watched some stuff on YouTube for a while and then I came upon a Shanghai Girl dancing with her Grandfather........ Now, I’m gonna smile for a while.
My pit was on Tuesday when our Bonnie came down with severe diarrhea and vomiting. Scared the bejesus out of us as she is always so healthy and a big eater. The vet suggested we change her diet.. so the past two days we have been giving her boiled white rice or macaroni and skinless breast chicken. What a remarkable recovery. Last nite she was almost back to normal. This morning 100%.
I've just found that my brother has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and I'm feeling quite stunned. He was having back pain and went to the doctor about it; this was the diagnosis. The cancer has spread to his lymph nodes and his spine. I walked outside earlier to put some trash in the bin since today is garbage day. I thought I heard water running on the side of the house so I peeked around the corner to see a flood coming from the outside spigot and it wouldn't turn off. Apparently the yard crew bumped some of the pool plumbing that attaches to that spigot and broke it. I was going to call a plumber but Super-Hubby is out there with his cape on in the heat. He has turned off the water main and gone to buy new connections. Ugh, this entire day is one big pit.
@Beth Gallagher That is indeed unfortunate news. Sorry to hear it........In our case, we are having a day of waiting......a good thing, yesterday my wife ran across an ad by the Riverside Hotel for a special they are running in their new barbecue restaurant: roast turkey legs, with a choice of 2 sides from an offering of 6. We will brave our intuitive sides (virus) to partake of this special. The sides offered are baked potato, baked beans, corn on the cob, green bean casserole, potato salad, or......one other I've forgotten! I'll go for baked potato and beans! It is surprising how little things like this overcome the "down" feelings I have daily resulting from my health issues! Simple things which were before just everyday occurrence have become very important. Frank
Thanks, Frank. My brother is a smoker for the past 60 years, so I suppose no one is surprised. It's a helpless feeling, though. He lives in Douglasville GA which is in the Atlanta area, so we will try to travel to see him before it's too late. I'm glad your dinner plans have lifted your spirits. That does sound quite tasty!
In stead of listing this user My Diagnosis as usual... Dr called in rx for the Thrush in my mouth. Cutting the presidone to 40mg..added another rx that will help . blood work showed more normal last time. Go back 8-27. Agreed that BP could be higher due to pressure on arms and hands. Still a work in progress.
