@Beth Gallagher - hope you find stability real soon and wish your Brother peace of mind - he will remain in my thoughts along with your good self xx
The pit of my day happened when I used my toaster and noticed something wrong. It toasted okay but one side didn't pop up like usual. I looked down inside and noticed it was off track but it was more than that. So now I down from a 4 slice to a 2 slice toaster . Peak I'll just buy another one.
Oh I am so PISSED right now. How's this for a "pit" -- one of my MIL's caretakers has tested positive for the Coronavirus. MIL is 86 and has Visiting Angels in her home twice daily; one of the caretakers has Covid-19. My husband goes by MIL's a few times a week to check on her, take care of her finances, etc. I haven't left this damn house a single time since February, and now I find I may have been exposed. He's trying to get testing lined up for MIL and himself; I will wait to hear their results.
Well that really sucks! Hope you and all get negative results. Can the visiting nurse service get some kind of cleaning disinfecting company into MIL,s home?
Thanks, y'all. I don't know what they will do @Peter Renfro ; probably nothing. My MIL's doctor seems unconcerned and says to just isolate her for 2 weeks. She lives alone and no longer drives so that won't be a problem. I am really getting fed up with this damn virus crap.
I have had a Peaky day . No Pits. Since its my BD and doctor said I could on ocassion I had me a little short of wine. Might try my bourbon and coke on another day. Not my usual choice of wine..but it worked well for today .
Pit Day Actually started yesterday. Thought the washing machine was on blink. Water everywhere. Hubby disconnected washer and waited for water to drain. At 4 am when i got up water all over floor again. I have used all towels , papers, cup towels and mops. Even used doggie pads to mop up water. Anyway hubby looked up at ceiling and discovered a leak from upstairs. Short side...the young couple upstairs did not have washer connections tight enough. However so much water now they will have to cut into wall to make sure that's all that is wrong. Whew...this is a big mess but least my washing. machine isn't the problem
Hey @Beth Gallagher. I’m just catching up with the pit and peak thread after not reading it for a week or so. Prayers for your brother, MIL And You. Sometimes there just doesn’t seem to be much sense nor order to things especially when they pile up the way they are for you. In a time of total disruption, I do pray that you find some peace and calm to help you cope with all that is going on around you. Luv ya Beth....God Bless
Ya might know that I read @Peter Renfro‘s debacle concerning his daughter’s washer machine before reading about your problem. The first thing I thought of whist only getting part way through your post was, “dern, Gloria’s knickers might be the culprit!!
Went to Walmart yesterday. Later that day, I got diarrhea fairly bad and last night my wife got some fairly bad stomach cramps. This AM we are both ok. This AM I downloaded the Walmart app for curbside pickup. Next time we need anything from Walmart, will order it from the app and pick it up in the parking lot. Another thing..........yesterday there was a security guard, wearing a mask, at the door into Walmart. Apparently he was making sure everyone that entered the store was wearing a mask, but I noticed, as we were shopping, some of the people took off their mask once they were inside the store, past the security guard.
