Our Alabama Secretary of State sort of covered that possibility on a radio interview. He said that any medical problems can be explained on a absentee ballot application. The absentee application is supposedly a vetting process whereby any infirmities that might be questioned can be proved to make the voting system a little easier and safer. Note: He specified that the vetting is done with Absentee Ballots but according to him, the straight mail in process is going to be a nightmare if it is approved. Also, he stated that if someone either feared going to the polls for whatever reason or couldn’t go to the polls for any reason then the Absentee Ballot system is the better option.
I just want to know why people have no problem going to freakin' Walmart, but they are terrified to go vote? What the heck.
Well Whoopee! I just received my updated voter registration card and it looks like they’re still planning on us heading for the polls, probably with masks, but with no indication of any mail-in stupidity. No signature worries, no USPS worries, no gettin’ there cause it’s right down the road worries. The voter folks are all gonna be standing there waiting for the most important vote in the world...mine!
Just now, I received a text message, from something called Indivisible Action, asking me if I would like to sign up for mail in voting. They assured me that Alabama was now allowing that. Here is what the text said : Hi Yvonne, I'm Devalina, a volunteer with Indivisible Action. The Secretary of State in Alabama recently expanded absentee voting for the November election, allowing any qualified voter to apply to vote absentee. Will you apply to vote by mail this year? Naturally, I looked up Indivisible Action , to see what it was about. Here is a screenshot of their website. Didn’t look very impartial to me. I wrote back, thanked Devalina, and said that i would be voting in person for President Trump, to avoid any of the mail-in voter problems they have been experiencing.
Still, you have to admit that Devalina is a pretty name. I signed up for the phonebank, the textbank and I'm going to write lots of letters for them.
There seem to be a plan to take action to over throw the USA. Pelosi said if Trump is not president we will drag him out of the White House. Using mail in voting and having the results tied up for months Congress would have to put in a temporary president until the end result and that would be Pelosi as the speaker of the house once there she could do any thing the deep state wanted. Pelosi in different speeches has allude that she is ready to step in. As president she could say all votes need to be counted even the illegal ones. Why are the democrats pushing this mail in voting could this be their plan? We have seen this already in a lot of elections that the Republican won and then they find more and more ballots until the democrat won and the lost votes stop showing up. There are elections right now that have went on and on and still not know the result through mail in voting and bad ballots. Is this the plan to steal the election? They know they are in trouble if people go to the ballot box and vote.
Simple. Mail in ballots are being "pushed" because it's not a good idea to have 80 million people (or whatever the number would be) all crowded into polling places and waiting in lines when there's a pandemic.
I would not be in favor of mailing out ballots without a request, either. I don't think anyone is "pushing" that. Some Republicans are complaining about the sending out of applications to request an absentee ballot to everyone. The Secretary of State here in Georgia forgot to check with his boss and did that here last spring. The governor came out against that process later. I opted for an absentee ballot at that time for the general election. I hope the governor doesn't try to renege on that now.
Unless they've kept their voting lists updated they're inviting fraud with mailing out unsolicited requests. I think it is the rare municipality that keeps lists up to date
I'm writing my own name in. I have multiple personality disorder and I really don't know what my alters will do but I could get as many as seven votes for president.
Check with your state. You may have to register to get your name to qualify for a legitimate write in. I'd hate to see your vote not get counted.
The problem that I see with mail in ballots is this:.... I worked at the polls for twenty years or more. Every so often, a voter would see a relative's name and say he/she died X number of years ago; can you take his/her name off? No, a relative has to go to the Board Of Elections and fill out a form saying that that person has died. Who is going to take the trouble go to the Board of Elections and do that? They did send us a form the last year that I worked which a relative could fill out but I don't think anybody bothered to do it. So there are people on the books who have been dead for many years. If they send out ballots to them, anybody can fill them out and return them. For instance, my husband's name is likely still on the books. He was a Democrat. I'm a Republican. I could vote for President Trump on his ballot.
