I understand most of what Biden says, but I'm senile. It takes one to know one. Thankfully, I have my Green Party to waste my vote on.
Dr. Jo Jorgensen was featured on her pop-up.at the LP site. I couldn't find information on other candidates. Her blurb says:. "Recognizing the increasing evidence of widespread inappropriate use of force by law enforcement, I am committed to listening and then doing what I can to end police misconduct. I am also committed to ending the drug war, qualified immunity, no-knock warrants, and other misguided policies which create the setting conducive to much of this violence." Thanks for mentioning them. I'd actually forgotten about the LP.
If they're consistent with their ideology, the Libertarians would try to eliminate Social Security. As it's my sole source of income, other than borrowing on my house, I'd be a little concerned if they got in.
My main disappointment with the Greens is that they are very soft on illegal emigration. But thinking about it, the Dems and Reps are too. They're just implicit about it, whereas the Green Party states their position openly. There's no one to vote for, really. That's the way I feel.
I have felt that way for YEARS. Kind of sad, really. Puts one in the "lesser of two evils" court. The last candidate I had any enthusiasm for was Bill Clinton; I still feel he was an effective president... though a bit lacking morally.
It used to be "the lesser of two evils" till Trump came along and gave voters another choice. It was a case of "what do I have to lose?" I liked Clinton. We had peace and prosperity under his administration and he kept us entertained with his shenanigans. He wasn't closed minded with Republicans either and got along with Newt Gingrich.
I watched a PBS documentary, "American Experience, Clinton." I was actually shocked by the hate for Clinton while he was in office and his power struggles with Newt Gingrich. I guess at that time in my life I was too busy raising children to pay much attention to politics. If you have PBS streaming (or maybe on Amazon video), I highly recommend the documentary. (I also watched one on Reagan that was also excellent.)
