Are any of you old enough to remember the song "Ivan Skavinsky Skavar"? (1920s) Its a fictional story about a proud Russian and a macho Turk who insulted each other and decided to settle it by fighting to the death in a sword battle that lasted all night. Here's a version with guitar accompaniment. There are other versions with more detailed rhymes.
College drinking songs.....I gotta think for a minute. Okay, unless I can include the songs before and after communion, we didn’t have any.
Some versions included this verse: "The Ladies all loved him, his rivals were few, He could drink them all under the bar! In fact, quite the Cream of the Muscovite Team Was Ivan Skavinsky Skavar!" h.p.
I took night classes at community college. We would meet after classes at P.J. Skidoos, but the only songs sung there were the occasional "Happy Birthday" tunes.
