The attached picture is eight years old and was taken on the island of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands, So Pacific.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be living in Assisted Living in eight years. Health Changes change our life style. AITUTAKI.JPG AITUTAKI.JPG

    Beautiful.

Given the difficulty of accessing that island, I assume you were there for an extended stay, and not just a week or two.

Accessing is no problem. I went there from New Zealand where I was living at the time. From NZ it is no further than going from San Francisco to Hawaii. 2,300 miles or so. I was there for one week and went on to Fiji for a week , then back to New Zealand.

    Good for you!

I've only been out of the states once. I spent a week on the island of Martinique.

It was interesting because such destinations attract people from all over the world. You can tell who the Americans are because they only spend a week and then go back to work, whereas Europeans, Scandinavians and South Americans are often on 30 day holiday.

Looking great for a 78-year-old, Lon... but what's that thing below your left elbow?
