We actually have quite a few threads about Qanon, and I am sure that if you do a search here, with Qanon as the search term, and check the “in titles” box, you will come up with a list of them. It has been around for around three years, and I am surprised that you hadn’t read any of the information, or at least heard about Qanon. Literally MILLIONS of people, not just in America, but all over the world, are part of the Qanon Great Awakening , and you can tell them by their patriotic beliefs and they are usually seen with an American flag.
I my reading this spring and summer on my Kindle, which is around 25 books of a religious nature, I have encountered a host of chapters about this subject, even though that was not my main reason for reading these books. My main thrust has been reading books by well-known biblical scholars and pastors about their views on the subject of the last days. Almost without exception, this topic has come up and there are various opinions on exactly what it is, how widespread it is and what its ultimate goal is. That's because when I was a young fellow years ago, I read Hal Lindsey's book on the late, great planet earth, and since then I have been a student of sorts about the subject of the last days, as described in the bible. Of course, this is very involved, but it seems to me it is basically a group that is afraid that the political climate is such that the world is heading toward a global system of control (politically, economically, and medically). In other words, the feeling is that, unless stopped, the pharmaceuticals, the governments, the wealthy, the "movers and shakers", etc who control all the important decisions, want a world where "they" call the shots, and we lesser "sheep" are forced to follow, since we don't have the power, the wealth, the political strings, etc to stop them. They go by names such as cabal, the elites, the illuminati, and others. So, in a nut shell, if they aren't controlled by the millions of us who are opposed to a world government forced upon us (Q-anon is to make sure this can't happen), they will achieve that goal. Since this has much religious overtones, I'm hesitant to say much more because I've realized that topics on religion (especially the "last days") are very sensitive and causes a lot of offense and debate, as well as scoffing, cynicism and even name calling. That's because a lot of folks do not want to hear about the biblical warnings of what will happen, since it involves things like the antichrist, the tribulation, the rapture, and other "chaotic happenings" before and during the last 7 years of life as we know it. For example, read Revelation and you'll see that this one-world government is prophesied to become true. (be sure to read the last chapter to see who wins).

The first one explained more about what people might belong to Qanon, and this one explains about the purpose, which is basically what @Hugh Manely was explaining, too. Many people in the Qanon movement are Christians, but not everyone, and it is not an organization (like Antifa or BLM), but more of a group of people with the same goals , ideas, and hopes for this world. Despite what they are trying to say in the news, Qanon is not a militia, and the people who support this movement are peaceful, and want to see the changes done legitimately, and not by taking over something or burning it down like BLM does.
This is my understanding of Q-anon: "Q-anon is a conspiracy theory. Followers of Q-anon believe a high-ranking, anonymous government official called “Q” is providing top-secret information in internet posts about a cannibalistic, satanic cabal of “Deep State” actors engaged in a child trafficking ring. Please correct me if I'm wrong. . .
We know that there are human trafficking rings, large ones are controlled by powerful people or organizations, and our government is working to stop both drug trafficking and human trafficking. While it is unlikely that the government is providing any top-secret information about any of this, if people worldwide are helping to turn in pedophiles and child-trafficking rings, is that a bad thing ? What do you see as not good about any of this, @Nancy Hart ?
I have followed Q from the start. I find it interesting and sometimes quite accurate. The people who say negative things about do not quote any Q posts. They make lots of claims but still will not quote a Q post. that says that. If you run into a person who says anything negative ask them what post that was in. Q because what they put out might be intelligence it is put in as a question instead of a statement.
Yvonne,... Bill asked specifically what Q-anon was. It was not my definition. It was the definition I could find that was simple, to the point, with no opinions. I also expressed no opinion one way or the other, and that was the way I intended to leave it. I don't like to argue, or even disagree, about serious things, but, if I had to answer your question.... What do I see as not good? That individuals are taking things into their own hands, when they don't even know if they have correct information. How can you be sure you are not being fed incorrect information by the likes of "Q" who may have another agenda? . (That is a rhetorical question) Peace.
