Did he at least get to eat? hahahaha I'm glad you finally got the better half. I hope there isn't any 'little ones' hanging back.
Yeah, my hubby gave him a banana and a donut. HAHAHA He curled up and took a nap before his ride in the Jeep.
Hi everyone. We have finally returned home from attending my brother's funeral that was held last Monday in Georgia. There was a church service and a graveside Masonic service. The graveside service was quite memorable in that as soon as the service began the heavens opened up and the attendees were caught in a deluge of wind and rain. The funeral director had installed canopies for sun shade but they were no match for a rainstorm, so everyone was drenched. It rained so hard that it was impossible to hear the service, and oddly, as soon as the service concluded the rain stopped and the sun peeked out! Knowing my brother, he got the last laugh on us. There was a large crowd, no masks, and no "social distancing" due to everyone huddling under the insufficient canopies.
So far, my day is going OK. I've been working on re-potting plants on the patio and hubby has gone to buy more potting soil. I suspect a ploy to escape the foul language in the back yard. More later.
I just mowed the back half of my property. Took over 3 hours. Glad I got a tractor. Should have mowed it a while ago...retirement has enabled my procrastination.
Lawdy Maury I have had a full day. Went to couple places looking for something but never found what'd I wanted. My daughter and her boyfriend Went to Casino with their free stuff won last time. Within 15 mintues won $10,000 ! But He picked up his expired DL instead of the renewed one. So they drove back to our place while a grand daughter brought him his new DL. Had not seen her in years so had great visit. Hubby out all day helping a friend of ours...I have not even be still long enough to nod off....I should sleep good tonite
We're voting today. Or I should say, "I'm voting today." My industrious husband got up and went to vote without me, so I'll be trekking over to the polling place after lunch. He said it was pretty much deserted and he walked right in, voted, and out.
Well. That was easy. The polling place is at the community center about a mile from our house. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Would have been faster, but they removed the "red" lever so you couldn't vote a straight ticket... WTH???? So I had to vote each Republican separately.
I had heard that some states removed the Party Lever. We have not had that in Virginia...at least since I've been voting (1972.)
Yeah, this is the first year for that in Texas, which delays the entire process needlessly. I had to page through 3 or 4 pages of races instead of hitting the red button and strolling out. Of course, further delays by morons who can't "listen to and follow directions." My opinions on humanity continue to be on the mark.
They were handing out little "finger covers" that looked like condoms for midgets. (Can we still say "midgets??") The moron woman in front of me put hers in her purse and "signed" the electronic pad with her finger after 23 attempts. Gah. (This is why they should let natural selection occur without interference.)
That's pretty funny. I was at the grocery store today entering my phone number at checkout to get my discounts, and they have a cover (that everybody touches) over the keypad. They must really like their keypads to go to all that trouble to protect them from us. And I agree re: Natural Selection. Most of modern society thwarts Darwin. The idiots breed and survive at levels disproportionate to their numbers.
So @Beth Gallagher how was the social distancing when you went to vote. My sister wants to vote early because she expects the lines to be very long.
