Back Porch, Storage For Snowblower & Lawnmower

Our back porch is badly in need of being replaced. Although we had someone do that for us only a few years ago, he did an awful job. He used press-board for the landing, which disintegrates when wet, and everything he put together was unsturdy, even to the point of the concrete floor, which was far too thin. So after only a few years, it's falling apart. It should have been replaced last summer.

This time, we're doing a better job of it. Although it's costing considerably more, we shouldn't have to re-do it, and the entrance for the snowblower and lawnmower will actually be accessible in the winter. Plus, it will be large enough to hold our generator as well. As it was, the generator is under four feet of snow in the winter, when we're most likely to need it.

I have one. It's full. Plus, it's in the back of the yard which is not a good place for a snowblower. Basically, what I'm building is a small shed, just big enough for a lawnmower and snowblower, and attached to the back door landing/deck, and it will open out onto the driveway, which is plowed, which means very little shoveling required. That is, if I can manage to get the snowblower started.

 

It will be.

 

You can never have too much storage.

I need more, but don't want to start a shed farm.

 

I had mine serviced during the summer, year before last, yet I couldn't get it to start last winter. I bought it new. It worked well for one winter.

 

This is why that whenever I can, I buy attachments for my diesel tractor rather than have yet one more gas engine to fail.
