We zip-lined in 2014 on vacation near Hot Springs, Arkansas. One of our favorite camping destinations is on Lake Catherine there. I'll have to see if I have any pics of that adventure.
I've never zip lined. I bet it was fun!!! The most exotic thing I've done is a Club Med on Martinique, where I paid extra for a hike through a rain forest. That was before digital cameras...I've not scanned the photos.
I did lots of exciting things during my Retirement Travels and Zip Lining at Pigeon Island in Guadalupe was one of them. Zipping high above the tree tops in the Rain Forest produced one big adrenaline rush. https://www.bing.com/images/search?...&form=IQFRML&first=1&scenario=ImageBasicHover
No thanks! Would rather be in the foothills or mountains of Colorado, Wyoming or Montana riding a horse.
Uh yeah, but not the popular kind. The mock-ups at Fort Benning, Ga. was the scene of many a man who found they didn’t really like heights whilst others like myself shrugged it off as yet another bit of training in order to be a Combat Paratrooper. “Hook up”, was the first command, “check your gear” was the second and thirdly was the signal to “stand in the door” then the pat on the shoulder and “go, go, go” . Funny, but as many mock-ups and real jumps that I have made, I never heard the 2nd or 3rd “go”. hmmmm....to think about it, during the halo blasts I made, I do not recall hearing the first “go”. Must be something about jumping above 20K feet. Dunno but I digress. Anyway, the trip from, I do not know how high it was, to traversing the cable nearly a football field long ending in a PLF (parachute landing fall) with full combat gear was a real gas. Loved it.
Never had the chance. Nor have I gone bungee jumping. White water rafting (many times) is the most exciting thing I've done.
Hmmm... The title of this thread is more specific than it was last night, but I'm going to post this anyway. In answer to the question... No, I've never been, but if I were going, I'd do this one. Zip Line - Royal Gorge, Colorado (better muted)
