I was busy cleaning today (expecting oldest daughter and grandson for Thanksgiving); I'm pooped. Ordered a Domino's Italian sausage pizza delivered.

I'm getting a head start on some Thanksgiving dinner stuff. I rubbed down the defrosted turkey with salt to dry brine it, and made the cranberry sauce (brown sugar, cloves, fresh grated ginger root) so it can sit for a few days.

I have no idea what I'm gonna eat tonight. It will start with a salad, but Walmart has stopped carrying fudgesicles, so I don't know what I'm gonna switch to for dessert. Maybe Food Lion carries them.

I made my cranberry sauce today. White sugar, water, cranberries, and a bit of grated orange zest.

I also slathered a small pork roast with Butt Rub and tossed it into the crock pot. Later I'll pull it apart and douse with BBQ sauce. Pulled pork sandwiches on the menu today.

Daughter and grandson are arriving in a few minutes. We're ordering carryout fajitas and tamales with all the fixin's from our favorite Mexican restaurant.

Thanksgiving was a turkey lunchmeat sandwich, with Miracle Whip.

    -Salad
-Cheese & crackers with summer sausage & sweet/hot mustard
-Fudgesicle (Walmart stopped carrying fudgesicles, and Food Lion's brand sucks. I am so depressed)

Gonna have a second Thanksgiving meal tonight.

I froze and vacuum sealed most of my leftovers:
    -Mashed potatoes
    -Green bean casserole
    -Dressing
-Gravy (was the best gravy I've ever made)
    -Turkey
    -Rolls
    -Pumpkin pie

I gotta figure out how to portion out the cranberry sauce so I can freeze it, too.

Now I'm really hurting for freezer space. I'm seriously considering getting another small chest freezer.

    LOL.

We had leftovers, too. Pulled pork sandwiches and air-fried Ore-Ida fries. I'll dig out some pumpkin pie with my coffee in a little while.

    It's insane.

I am a single guy with one of the largest fridges/bottom freezer combos out there (it's really not proportionate to my small kitchen) and I have a small chest freezer. Yet I'm thinking of getting another chest freezer.

I don't get it. I did not live through the depression.

I need a new hobby. Ice sculpting would work. Once it's done, it's eventually going away, all on its own.
