Okay. I like this xplaination. This is a perfect quote. It allows everyone to interpret however they wish. #9 @Nancy Hart, Yesterday at 12:36 PM
“Be Americans. Let there be no sectionalism, no North, South, East or West. You are all dependent on one another and should be one in union. In one word, be a nation. Be Americans, and be true to yourselves.” – George Washington We badly need this one nowadays.
This last quote I wrote above should have read, “People who think they know everything are very irritating to those of us who do.” One realizes I left out a word. And now I have still forgotten whoit was that made that quote.
It seems the only General George Patton quote in my book of quotes is this one: “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.”
I was just reading a book of quotes “America is like a healthy body, and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within.” Joseph Stalin
I found this quote interesting with the controversial American elections “People who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.” Joseph Stalin
