I am so sorry that you, and particularly your wife, had to go through all that, @Bill Boggs. Although she was the one on the floor and hurting, I can imagine that it was probably as stressful for you.
It looks like a bad storm going through Oklahoma, for sure, @Bill Boggs ! Hopefully, you will have flashlights and be prepared if the power does go out. Would you lose heat if that happens, or just electricity ?
Not too cold, it’s thirty degrees now. Won’t get too much colder but we’ve had a lot of rain. Will be some snow and some freezing rain later tonight. The heat goes off when we lose power, even the phone goes.
I just hope we get through the night ok. She can’t walk on her own and I am very little support so I push her in an old office chair with no arms. Hoping we don’t lose power. It will be challenging if we do. Night, night.
Bill, I'm not normally a praying person but I will send heartfelt prayers for y'all tonight. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}
Bill, do you have flashlights and a way to power your oxygen? Please don't hesitate to call 911 if you need help or get too cold.
Yes, I have back up tanks now with a special valve with constant flow. I’m good for two or three days. Have two flashlights and warm clothes. If we have a problem it will be between one and five a.m.
It’s a winter wonderland this morning. we’ve warmed up a degree or so since five o’clock but as I write it is thirty-one degrees and looks like about three inches of snow has fallen. Still snowing lightly. The house is warm, the larger ground coffee is good, the misses sleeps. When all is well she is a late sleeper. I sip coffee, look out on the world through my window. It’s a new year and it’s good to be alive.
