It's weird but we really don't eat a lot of bread. The last 1 lb loaf I made got moldy before it was half eaten. Once the novelty of the new bread machine wears off it will be relegated to the Lonely Appliance section. Then there's that 20 pounds of all-purpose flour, some whole wheat, and some bread flour that I need to use or donate, thanks to my pandemic hoarding.

And of course, I need to try to re-home my old Breadman which still works great. I'll try to pawn it off on one of my kids.

As for other carbs, we have pasta at least once a week and enjoy potatoes, rice, etc. So we do enjoy carbs, but not necessarily a lot of bread.

I have bread with nearly every dinner. I have homemade Italian bread I keep in the freezer to make garlic bread for my pasta dinners, and always have a supply of homemade rolls of one type of another for other dinners.

Sliced sandwich bread is a different story. I use store-bought and keep it in the freezer as well. I'll go through 2 or 4 slices a week.

Regarding repurposing appliances: didn't you give your old Kitchen Aid pasta attachments to one of them? Someone else needs to step up to the plate for that bread machine ;)

Yes, I gave one of my Kitchenaid stand mixers and all the attachments to my oldest daughter. I offered the Breadman to one of my sons but he prefers to make his bread by hand.

Just a way of cooking pinto beans with bacon, cilantro, onions, jalapeno, garlic, diced onions, and a bottle of beer. :D A lot of Mexican restaurants serve Borracho bean soup.

We had gluten free spaghetti made from corn, brown rice, and quinoa with a tomato sauce with bacon.
It also had grated cheese over the top.

We picked up BBQ plates from a local joint; brisket and sausage with potato salad, baked beans, and fresh wheat rolls.
