Today is the 7th of January, and Kamala Harris has still not resigned her senate seat.

I have said that I will never belittle President-elect Biden. I mean it. I have sympathy for his mental and health condition. But Miz Harris is fair game as far as I'm concerned. She would never be where she is if not for using sex to get there. That makes her a whore, no better than a street corner whore.

I don’t have anything to say about the incoming president except he was not my choice
although I voted for him hoping he would win because I wanted Trump out. My vote was
not for Biden but against Trump. He chose his vice president and I wish her well although
I think she smiles too much. If she should become president, she’ll make a better president
than the man who is about to leave (in my opinion).

The democrats are too liberal, most of them it seems and republicans are too conservative,
it also seems. However Ms Harris got to where she is, I applaud her efforts and success.
Women have been oppressed and opposed whenever they strayed too far from the kitchen
or got too ambitious. And if they belong to a minority group, they’ve got a double whammy
against them. Women are more intelligent than men, that’s been proven, so there’s little doubt
she will be an asset to the president.

Of course I could not expect anyone to agree with me but that’s alright, I’m something of a
    loner, anyway.

We don't always have to agree politically to be friends, Bill. We just have to disagree politely.:D

So, @Bill Boggs , are you saying that having to “sleep her way to success” , rather than getting there by her intelligence, makes her not oppressed ?
She had to do what is the most undignified behavior (long called women’s oldest profession), and to me, that is not actual earned success, and it is one of the worst ways that women have been oppressed since the beginning of time.

    @Yvonne Smith
Yes, that's what I'm saying. But I don't believe she was a whore. She was/is a successful attorney,
married to an attorney. But, if I'm wrong and she was one of the unspeakables, I'm glad for her
success. I probably would not have picked her for vice president but then I'm not as smart as her or
the president elect so that would never have been my problem. So I tell myself, give her a chance
and she'll be as good or better than some this country has picked.

Not arguing the point I hope you understand because I have admired you here on the forum and
would not argue with you. Just stating my opinions and answering questions and trying to get along
in a world where it is sometime hard to do so.

I edited the above because I had some words misspelled and one or two that might not have been words.
    I didn't edit the content.

Wow, speaking as a psychologist, you really need help. Just can’t believe that an accomplished woman of colour has reached such lofty heights via her own merit. Nope, let’s diminish her achievements by vulgarly trashing her morality. Racism is alive and well. Shame on you. You, madam, are a racial whore.

Sorry, dear. @Sacheen BrightEagle . you are badly mistaken about that. I never mentioned her race and never even considered it. If it had been Hillary, I would have said the same thing.

I do believe that you owe me an apology.

I read this crap on here to remind myself Why I don't discuss politics with people. None of us know a damn thing for sure. It all is politics, rumor or at best wishful thinking - or the ole stand by Fake News.
No matter who gets what position the public condemns them before they ever sit down.

The above is the kind of garbage that men spew when they are jealous of the station in life some women have achieved. It can also be used by other women as an easy put down. High school girls are known to use it.

I've never heard any women of good character and intelligence use it, before, absolutely no lie.

Please, poster, if you would be so kind: What concrete proof do you have that our near-future VP used sex to advance her career? Do not give me quotes from some extremist group member or others of that ilk.

Since you are saying she used sex to advance her career, lacking any other way to do so, here are a few facts about her life:

    https://www.britannica.com/biography/Kamala-Harris

FWIW, you owe HER an apology......

I'm sure Ms Harris has had fewer sexual partners than JFK or Bill Clinton, so I don't see how that matters. AFAIK she meets the constitutional criteria to be POTUS so she is qualified to be the Veep.
