Again our stupid weather is way too warm... Above freezing every day this week during the day and not much colder at night.. No snow or cold in the forecast for the next week or so... NO GOOD !!! … WE NEED SNOW AND VERY COLD !!!!
@Kate Ellery a Qld hotel is the centre of an expected Covid new strain cluster after six cases were discovered. Gladys is now asking any New South residents that used the hotel for quarantine after flying home to again isolate for two weeks and get tested. Well done Palaszchuck.

there here but im leary bout them. Not sure if the second vaccine will show up soon enough after the first.. so could be taking first shot for nothing,, you need the second shot.. so they say..
We Aussies will get our first doses from an imported vaccine in Feb Louise. While out locally produced vaccine will likely be available in March or April. Louise we have held off from Covid vaccinations as our case numbers are minimal plus the govt. wants to allow the people that approve all medicines/vaccines for public use to complete their job and not cut corners.
Feb now Kate. But only the imported vaccine. Have you heard that Australia is looking at adding Novavax to our CSL produced vaccines for our population and other nations.
The vaccine has reached us up here.. They are giving it to the hospital workers first and then the long term home workers and then anyone over 75 years old which is..... us... my wife and myself.. It should be a few more weeks till we are getting ours..
Kate we can rejoice here in Sydney as the Northern Beaches cluster is now officially done and dusted. Thank goodness we have avoided any new strain cases. Sydney has now been three days without a single case. Brisbane is hosting a cricket Test match starting today with half ground capacity allowed. Too many in my book. Our Sydney match was only permitted a quarter crowd capacity. How are you SAussies traveling? @Kate Ellery
Craig and Kate, it sounds like y'all are beating the virus. I called and looked online today to see if I can get the vaccine. Nobody has it available right now. They say get back in touch in a few days.
Craig someone / somewhere got news that 3 men had traveled to Adelaide from Brisbane that had been in the infected hotel (in Brisbane) ( with the new strain ) They pounced on them and put them in quarantine in Adelaide but one of them is no where to be found ..they are not even sure if they were effected but not taking any chances so it’s no second chances here in SA ..if any suspicion of being near anyone with the virus ... ..your in the lockup for 14 days. Good on Sydney for going in hard and stopping the spread ...let that horrible virus know it’s not wanted here in Australia ..we’d love to do a little travel in our one year old ( new) car but each interruption makes us wary
Just because we get the vaccine doesn't mean we don't have to wear a mask and also keep our distances and keep on washing our hands with the disinfecting stuff.. We MUST keep on being very safe regardless of the vaccine or not.. Eventually we will be OK, but till then...……………. STAY SAFE …..
You bet this new strain is not wanted in Australia Kate or America or Canada. The Brits are being hit hard by it as is Thomas Stearn's Germany. The vaccines to create herd immunity cant come soon enuff for our world which has now passed the 2 million death point.
We are finally having our summer in Sydney. Warm.. not sweltering days with cool nites.. perfect weather for this time of year.
