I used to keep 2 flavors of ice cream in the freezer but was unable to exert Portion Control. So I went to fudgesicles and only allow myself one.

I never used to want need something sweet after a meal, but at some point I picked up the habit.

We're having strip steaks, baked potatoes, and steamed spinach. I might even have a beer today. :D I believe I deserve one.

And I've been wanting some plain white cake with icing, so I'll see if I can scrounge up the ingredients for that, too.

I got a recipe email for making "baked fried rice." I may try that with some left over pork chop, some hot & sour soup (I keep a supply from my local restaurant in the freezer) and some dumplings. I might stir-fry some broccoli...or maybe just have a salad to get my greens.

We had leftover steak from last night, so I'm going to make quesadillas with steak, bell peppers, onions, and lots of cheese on flour tortillas. Ranch beans on the side.

I may not have any supper tonight but that's okay. I had a power lunch of fried chicken thighs, french fried potatoes,
and cream gravy. I had four fudge covered grahm cookies for desert, and water. I consumed maybe tripple the calories
I normally eat, so skipping dinner tonight will be, not only reasonable but necessary I'll just have a large dip of ice cream with raspberry syrup poured over it.

I didn't feel like cooking tonight, so I drove into Charlottesville and ate at Applebee's:

    -Caesar salad
    -Ribs
    -Slaw
    -Onion Rings
    -Fudgesicle when I got home

There's leftovers for a second meal.

I made "BJC Instant Mac and Beef" in the Instant Pot, with bread machine French bread.

I've never been tempted to buy an Instant Pot, but everyone I know who has one raves about it. I've got 2 pressure cookers that I might use once a year...if that. Given infinite storage space, I might consider it. But these days I'm limited to buying small gadgets.

    Hah. I have 2 Instant Pots (3 qt and 6 qt), 2 stove-top old school pressure cookers, and a Breville Fast/Slow Pro. :D https://www.amazon.com/Breville-BPR700BSS-Function-Brushed-Stainless/dp/B013I40R8E/ref=sr_1_1?crid=RCAEN0OKXSF4&dchild=1&keywords=breville+fast+slow+pro+pressure+cooker&qid=1614060679&sprefix=breville+fast+slow+pro,aps,187&sr=8-1

I love electronic pressure cookers. I use the 3 qt Instant Pot the most often for just the 2 of us.

How weird is this... I placed my grocery order for tomorrow and the only time slot they had left for delivery was 9 p.m. Guess I'll be unloading groceries from the porch around 9:10.

I have a 1960s (earlier?) Presto stove top with the 3 position weight and a modern Fagor. I can't imagine cooking with one where I can't turn up the heat.

Regarding your grocery delivery: I love the delivery/pickup feature on grocery store websites, because I can now see which stores stock (and have available) some of the more esoteric products I need before I waste a trip. Regarding actual delivery: until they implement really long range drones (I'm out of the range of current technology), I'm not gonna get delivery where I live unless I beg a neighbor.

Regarding your Brevilles: They need to fly you to Australia for a complimentary factory tour. ;)

I loved the old Prestos with that "rocker" weight. You'd probably like an Instant Pot if you tried it.

Hah... I keep wishing my Breville oven would die so I can buy a new one. :D That thing gets used every day and it's at least 6 years old.
