Sorry to hear this, buddy. At least you caught them when you did. I keep forgetting to ask the dermatologist when I should come back for another inspection (I've always been clean when he's checked me out.)
Radiation can cause other cancers, later down the line. Simple excision surgery is the way to go, if possible. Do your own research on radiation as a mutagenic agent.
I have researched it, however the very low dose procedure used by my dermatologist is quite different than the radiation used for lung /colon etc. cancer.
I recently had a full-body Bone Density Scan, as prescribed by my Physician. When the results proved negative, I had a MRI scan, which showed arthritis in my shoulder. The Orthopedic Surgeon then administered a Cortizone injection, which did nothing for reducing my arthritic pain. Later he gave me a Cortizone injection for relieving extreme knee pain and stiffness. It worked like a miracle!
I gotta think that all those years of weight lifting and resistance exercises probably helped strengthen your skeletal system. I've known folks with rheumatoid arthritis who have taken turmeric capsules with great success and gotten off their meds. If you consider this, make sure to read about potential side effects first. Other than stomach upset, most websites claim it's safe up to 8 months use, then after that it can thin your blood, which can pose a danger if you're already on blood thinners. Anyway, it sounds like you got mostly good news.
I had a early breakfast today before my medical appointment. My forehead shows the results of my recent biopsy. I couldn't photograph the very top of my head where there were two other biopsies taken.
I go 4 times a year for body checks and just did one recently also 4 blood tests yearly, I am very medically involved having everything tested and checked, having doctor fishing friends really helps me out. Especially being a cancer survivor 5 years clear next month.
I have not had a scan in , well, I don't remember when the last one was but I need one. I have had three skin cancers removed from my face and nose. I have two or three places that concern me but getting to a dermatologist is one big hassle so I have put it off.
Head to toe full scans 2 times a year and same for office checks quarterly, PET scans, MRI, CAT do them all had 4 surgeries from things found going on 5 years internally clear this March, quarterly blood tests also had 6 covid virus checks since it started bad as I hate all of it but I no longer put anything off,, as I said taking your doctor fishing/shooting really has helped me.
Now I'm considering an exercise machine for elderly Seniors that works the legs and arms using pedals with variable resistance, usable on the floor or table-top. My treadmill is OK for cardio work, but it's too boring. Instead, I jog around the back yard before breakfast until I start huffing.
Even though they will do my laundry here at Assisted Living I do my own sometimes just for the exercise. The whole process requires quite a bit of physical effort.
