For all those Worry Warts that are concerned about me taking pictures with out permission please know now that I asked permission of these two lovelies as we partook of this evenings dinner without masks or spacing. Both ladies are widowed and on the second floor with me.
Before I look, can you post a copy of the Release Forms they signed? Just kidding...but how are you able to do No Mask/No Distancing? Is this a benefit of "We're all vaccinated now"? Gee, a sense of normalcy...
Lon, at this forums age, we all have a right to worry! So, that means that everyone who lives there, and works there, have been fully vaccinated? Not a single worry?
My BIL (wife's sister's deceased husband) started wearing a some kind of men's head covering when he worked at a car dealership, until the owner told him that he could no longer wear it. This was in So. California in summer sun. None of the other salesmen wore anything covering their head, but they were much younger guys. He was bald and was just trying to protect his head from the sun rays, but...........
Actually, my "worry" was for both! I believe it's still too early to congregate like this, especially for this age bracket..........even with getting both vaccines done. But, that's my opinion and my opinion isn't taken very well on this forum, sometimes. But, if they all feel 100% safe in doing this, more power to all of them.
We all have a right to our opinions on this, but you took a virus shot at Lon for saying: I asked him about the relaxed safety measures just out of curiosity, but Lon never told anyone to not worry about that. Not that it really matters, but don't jump on the guy for something he never said.
Like Cal Worthington, maybe he should have tried a cowboy hat. If it was good enough for the world’s largest used car dealership in the world and located in S. California, it should be good enough for every car salesman.
Thank goodness I missed the bullet I sailed for many years in the sun and had no where to hide. So Far So Good.
So far as skin damage from the sun, I have a little bug that’s been with me for about 3 or 4 years. Malaneezia Fur Fur. I’ve seen a couple of dermatologists about it and both told me that I know more about it than they did. It’s actually a mutated form of the natural skin flora that everyone has and is absolutely impervious to ultra violet light. It’s made of the same stuff that a crustacean’s shell is made of and generally affects healthy people from 16 to 25 or so. I informed one doctor that the primary reason for that doesn’t have a lot to do with age so much as it has to do with people who are out in the sun working or playing on a continual basis and generally follows right after the first sun burn of the year. And who are those people? Mostly younger and healthy people. The thing is, the bug is trying to protect my skin from further damage. It really doesn’t care what the skin looks like just as long as it is healthy. There are times when I tell myself that it’s just trying to do it’s job so I shut my shoulders and say go for it. My chest, abs, shoulders and chest look like I have a bad case of freckles especially when the rest of me is tanned but beyond being a distraction from my normal handsome self it’s a no problem situation. If anyone wants to read up on it you can but nearly half of everything there is bogus. Some say it’s a gut problem and others commit to saying it has something to do with the Ph of the skin and on and on. What I have already written about it is only about 10% of what I know about it and as a matter of interest, my last dermatologist grilled me for a good hour just getting information for a paper he plans to submit.
