    @John Brunner
    No offense inteded here but I am curious... The meals you prepare are they small portions or cooked and moved to bowls for eating? Your meals always sound good and a variety of items. How do yo maintain any weight issues?

    No offense [ever] taken, Gloria.

    I often cook "bulk" in advance and freeze individual portions. When I grill a steak it's enough for 2 meals...the pork loin strips were the same deal. My meat portions are 1/4# or less, and I load up on sides. I have 1/2 of last night's baked potato left over for tonight or tomorrow.

    Regarding my weight...throughout my adult life it's plateaued for years and then bumped up 10# or so (125# for decades to 145#, then 20 years later up to 160#.) A couple of years ago it went up the the highest it's ever been (183#) from 165# and stayed there. It's all due to a 99% sedentary lifestyle and the junk I eat. My meals (and lack of exercise) are not putting on the weight, it's the cookies & chips I have afterwards and in between (and the lack of any exercise,moderate or otherwise.) I never ate that kind of stuff...ever. Now I eat it every day.

    -Salad
    -Cheese & crackers

    I had a late lunch of McDonald's. Why do I do that to myself? It's not good food by any measure.

    Today was chemo day, so we picked up pulled pork sandwiches on our way home. Wish I could have had a beer with mine, but I have enough chemicals in me for today. :D

    I've been eating out since my days have been spent working on my firewood racks (they're the envy of the holler.)

    I got ribs at Applebee's last night, so tonight I'll have a salad, leftover ribs, baked potato, and some green veggie.

    Then a fudgesicle.
