Still listening to the old classic rock of Fleetwood Mac, Bachman-Turner Overdrive (aka BTO), Deep Purple, Van Halen and others, plus some Motown hits. Also have the CD's out for Garth Brooks, George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Diamond Rio, Terry Clark and others from those years.
Today we're going to listen to the Crests. Hits like Sixteen Candles, the Angels listened in, trouble in Paradise.
Excellent I like both artists. I don't believe I've ever heard that album but I'll be on the lookout for it. To me shearing had a very unique sound with his blend with the xylophone.
Welcome to my world. Here's what I find interesting. People from English speaking countries all sound different when speaking, but Aussies, Brits, Americans, Canadians, etc. all sound the same when singing. What the heck.
Funny you should say that. Colin Hay (Men At Work lead singer) was born in in Scotland and moved to Australia w/family in his mid teens. As I was listening to that song, I tried to detect an accent (to my America-centric ear)...there was none. And he's still touring and still singing, livin' the life in L.A. Re: Talking Heads... Yup. Good stuff. Very good stuff.
