Just watched 'Tenet' with John David Washington who is Denzel Washington's son. If you are into sci-fi thriller action this is a good one. You can't blink an eye or you will miss something.
Just finished watching 1933 King Kong and the Son of Kong. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0024216/mediaviewer/rm3794060800/
Last night watched, again, the absolutely hilarious Last Vegas with Kevin Kline, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman and Robert De Niro. Four legendary actors that had never acted together before this movie. Mary Steenburgen was excellent in the movie also. It's a must that a person has to have a great sense of humor to watch this movie...........and wife and I absolutely do!
Finished watching Netflix 'Irregulars'. Intense. Suspenseful. I watched it because the synopsis mentioned Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson working with young adults to solve evil from overtaking London. No Robert Downey, Jr. in this one.
Friday Night Lights (2004 Drama; not to be confused with the 2006 series with the same name) Based on H.G. Bissinger's book, which profiled the economically depressed town of Odessa, Texas and their heroic high school football team, The Permian High Panthers. ________________ I always heard that high school football in Texas is intense but didn't realize the extent. The townspeople, players, and coaches behave as their lives depend on the success of their teams. This is a true story of a team in west Texas and their 1988 season. I rate it A minus. Sorry, I couldn't find a trailer at IMDB.
The Jesus Rolls (2019 crime, drama, romance) A trio of misfits whose irreverent, sexually charged dynamic evolves into a surprising love story as their spontaneous and flippant attitude towards the past or future backfires time and again. __________ Lots of funny moments but I didn't understand this film. Thus, D minus. _______________________________ Official Trailer (imdb.com)
Broken Angels (2009) Also known as "The Inner Circle" I rate B+ Set in New England, five teenage girls living in a boarding school, discover a secretive practice. It is unexpectedly performed by a group of older nuns, and it affects the girls' belief system. https://www.imdb.com/video/vi2356984089?playlistId=tt0918531&ref_=tt_pr_ov_vi
Just watched "Klute," from 1971; Donald Sutherland and Jane Fonda. I've seen it a couple of times before but it's a good suspense movie.
Is that the movie where Jane Fonda's character is out of sight, with some guy, & she screams in agony? If so, I had to hit pause when that happened and then take some time & make coffee, just to get my hackles down.
Testament of youth (2014) A British woman, journalist Emma Brittain, recalls coming of age during World War I - a story of young love, the futility of war, and how to make sense of the darkest times. https://www.imdb.com/video/vi1078440217?playlistId=tt1441953&ref_=tt_ov_vi
