It is 32 degrees right now at 6:48 am. Yesterday it was sunny at 50+ degrees. It's Ohio what do you expect? Common response when someone is surprised by unexpected changes in the weather here. From where I sit every day. I just had to step outside. So I wrapped my lap blanket around me and grabbed my phone. To my left ... From my back door .. Look at Sculpty over there ... To the right of me. Predicted today in the 40s cloudy and rain. I'm glad I cut my grass Sunday.
"So tickled"? Not here! Our first snowstorm was last September and we could get snow all the way to Mother's Day Weekend. During those months, we've been spoiled a few times with having temps in the 70 to 80 degrees. Earlier this month, the boat ramps at local lakes opened and it was 80 degrees. This last Monday afternoon, a snowstorm hit and the next morning it was 15 degrees. People here have gotten spoiled with the 70 to 80 degree weather we've had before and want "Old Man Winter" gone. That should happen the middle of next month. Unlike Ohio, we live next to the foothills that lead into the Rocky Mountains. Do you get "lake-affect" snow, where you live?
Same here in Virginia, Von. We've had several days in the 80s already. Tonight and tomorrow night it's gonna be below freezing. Some number of people get out in the early April 80' weather and plant veggies, only to have Clarence Birdseye visit before the first blossom appears.
I really couldn't say. Ohio seems to get it from all directions but mainly from the north from Canada's cold temps and Florida's high winds seem to make it up here when during hurricane season.
Pretty @Von Jones but do you have any fruit trees that were caught in the snow and cold? That would be my concern.
Other than a mulberry tree, no. Thankfully the sun broke through and has been shining since and temp is 44.
What beautiful photos @Von Jones the top ones look like a Christmas card..... just stunning Thanks for posting
Frozen blossom , I’ve never seen that before ,it was obviously warm enough for the blossom to come out on trees then you got snow again ....I’ve never seen snow for real only in photos @Von Jones
