Open air rodeo at the snowy river races they just turn the rough stock loose no arena, 6000 people on horse back there.
Tex, I'm from New York so I never see these kind of events, truthfully I've never even ridden a horse, but I have taking my grandkids when they were young for lessons, it was really fun for me and my grandkids most enjoyable. Thanks for showing these photos.
Me 4th from left waiving, 110 miles in desert and mountains this is where Billy shot the deputy. In Lincoln county. My ex's great grand pa was Charles Goodnight from Texas Cattle Baron days, madt the Goodnight Loving trail famous. Growing up I was known as the "Boy with the blond girl on horseback" Around here.
We were going to get a couple of horses, when we were looking for property when we lived here before. Then, decided to buy a boat/trailer instead.
I am sure that you must have at least some pictures of your horse, @Cody Fousnaugh ? As much as you speak about riding him at the rodeos, I would think that you would have bunches of pictures. I still have most of my older pictures of horses stored away in folders, and not online, but I have lots of pictures of the different horses that I had over the years, ever since getting my first pony around age 11. This picture is me with my Welsh Mountain Pony, at my house in Idaho, as an early teenager. If you look closely, you can see my little dog, Sugar, standing on Dandy’s back.
I don’t know what it was actually supposed to be, but it looked like of like a “D + “. As far as I know, he was not from registered stock (although he cold have been, he was around 12-15 when I got him), so I don’t know why he was branded.
