    Slice of my homemade raisin bread and a nice bowl of fresh fruit salad. Bobby had his prime rib, and the dogs had nibbles, so everyone is content.

    There is a store here called Save-a-Lot, and they have a special meat department with good sales. They usually have some kind of steaks or large pieces of meat on sale every week.
    We go up about once a month, I stock up on my veggies, and Bobby gets whatever kind of meat that he wants.

    Tonight's gonna be leftover Applebee's ribs from Sunday night. It was a disappointing meal. I think the guy in the kitchen was new. It took forever for the order to come out. My onion rings-for-fries substitution got screwed up, and the sauce on the ribs was not cooked on them...it was slathered on about 1/2" thick after the ribs were done.

    I'm gonna lay off there for a while. I need to get a decent smoker so I can do these at home. I figure if I start eating smoked foods at my age, the ill effects ain't gonna have time to take hold.

    Baked potato, baked beans with bell peppers, onion, It. sausage, and few bacon bits.
    I put this on my baked potato with a sprinkle of cheese.Yummy:p

    I have the ribs slathered in butt rub and in the oven. After a couple of hours I'll slather the BBQ sauce on them and broil 'em for a minute since I don't feel like dragging out the charcoal grill. Then make fries and salad. Smells so good in here!!

    You doing low & slow inside?

    I didn't get my leftover ribs last night because power went out, so they're on the menu for tonight.

    I'm gonna make home fries by boiling the cut-up potatoes before drying then pan-frying. I've never tried this before.
