I had leftover Chinese food, and as I was clearing my plate, I realized that I threw away a perfectly good pair of chopsticks when I had the first meal from this on Saturday. Since I could not go inside to pick up my order (new COVID process), I did not get disposable chopsticks, and out of habit I threw out the ones I used, not remembering that they were "real." I'm not digging through the trash for a pair of chopsticks. Sayonara, guys.
I've never heard of Firehouse Subs. I just looked...there's probably 50 in Virginia, just clustered around cities not near me. And almost 1,200 in the country. I take it they're good.
Today I made quesadillas with beef, onion, green pepper, and a ton of cheese on flour tortillas. Served with ranch beans and plenty of jalapenos. (It's days like this that I miss beer the most. )
I've got browned thick-cut pork chops in the slow cooker with a sliced onion and gravy made with the pan drippings from browning the chops. I'll make rice and steamed spinach to go with them, and a couple of Hawaiian rolls.
For tonight's I will have Lemon Rosemary Chicken/Baked Potato with chives sour cream and butter--Sauteed Squash Onions and Green Bell Peppers. German Chocolate Cake for dessert.
