I liked it because of its size and color and when I picked it up my hands like melted it was so soft. Then I checked inside and it was very clean and I saw the monogramed lining and my jaw dropped. The vendor saw my expression and said, "I was asking for 20 but make me an offer." "It's the real thing." "Really?" I thought I'll never find another deal like this and even $20 wasn't a bad asking price but... I said 15. "Sold!" she said. I felt compelled to make up for the $5 and bought a brand new reed diffuser I spyed before.
You found a perfect-condition $250 designer label purse for only $20, and still offered $15?????? You are my new flea market best friend!!! I love it!!!!!!
When I first saw a piece of marcasite jewelry I loved it. I felt it unusual and classy. No bling bling and I like that. I've never seen it with any casing that wasn't silver.
Alrighty then, John. My son was with me. He would walk around and always say I didn't see anything. I said, "That's because I wasn't with you."
Spent 4-5 hours installing the belly mower on my tractor (what a pain) and then cutting my acreage. My neighbors cut my fields once this year on their zero turn mowers, and I have a contractor coming out Saturday to wrap my crawlspace, so I had to get it cut again. I'd been waiting because I was using my tractor for other stuff, and did not want the mower on it. Once I install that mower deck, it stays on for the season (what a pain.) I'll go out tomorrow and weed eat.
I thought it was funny at first but in North Idaho, where there’s a lot of people who own land with practical forests on them, they rent goats to do their “mowing” for them. They clean everything up and the only thing left when they’re gone is goat poop. People get a pretty good tax credit for cleaning their land so it’s a win-win.
Today? Well, got our new iRobot Roomba e5 set up. Thing is bigger than we thought, at 13" in circumference. Named it Hazel and I have it connected to WiFi on an app on my iPhone. At this posting, it is in the charger, charging up to full capacity. It's going to be weird seeing this thing run around all over our apartment, but be able to get under our King size bed and clean, is a wonderful plus. To clean under the bed, we use to have to pull the bed out from the window/wall, sweep as much as we could get, and put the bed back. However, we are keeping our upright to use if we need it. Later, got to make a "curb-side" pickup at local Walmart. Order some thing online this morning. Had a descent dinner at Golden Corral Buffet yesterday evening, using my Veteran's Day Free Meal card (finally). Wore our masks inside, took off at table and then found out from our waitress that Golden Corral has dropped their mask requirement. So a number of folks going to the buffet without a mask, so we did it. When we left, we didn't put our masks on either. It was so, so, so NICE not to have to wear a mask. However, there will still be times we will wear them.
I thought of getting goats. They are enjoyable critters. A friend had one when I was a kid child, and that thing was way better (and more fun) than any watch dog. It was stealthy. And they look crazy. But I don't want the daily care they require. And I understand that they will always seek the highest vantage point, even if that's the roof of your new car. Regarding rural tax breaks: I get a 50% tax break for promising to not develop my lot. If I renege on the deal, the only penalty is paying the back taxes that I should have paid in the first place...no fines, no interest. I had my DC area job and my DC area pay when I moved here, and figured it wouldn't kill me to help this rural county out, so I didn't apply then. But the minute I retired, I signed right up. My 51 acre property taxes went from being half of the taxes on my 1/4 acre DC lot to a fifth of the taxes on my 1/4 acre DC lot. Of course, I gotta haul out my own trash.
GARLAND, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – More than 20 goats caused a baaad scene in Garland the other night, prompting a police response and investigation into their well-being.
This just happened today. I wonder if there's local Muslim population around (I'm not being sarcastic.) If they are destined for the dinner table, I can see not trimming their hooves & such.
