Yes, it takes too much energy to have a good rant and then the devil factor adds caution to the wind.
I just got another survey invitation from Allstate, claiming they are "still waiting to hear from me." I am formulating my response in a Word document because I wish to leave no stoned unturned, and I also wish to be measured. These idiots send surveys to customers they KNOW have no filed any claims. Exactly what am I to judge their service quality on...the speed with which they cash my checks? So I never bothered to fill the surveys out. I refuse to participate in the charade and have others think Allstate rates 10-Out-Of-10 for some substantive reason. A few years ago I finally had an issue to survey them on, and not only received no response (there were problems), they continue to ask "Why won't you tell us how we're doing?" The issue I had was with buying an umbrella policy. I had called Allstate regarding insurance costs for the various cars I was considering buying in the summer of 2018. While on the call, the rep told me that because of the coverage I already had on my home & auto, tacking on an umbrella policy would be at a minimal incremental cost. (Permit me a Tier II Rant on average citizens like us--not running a retail shop--needing to be insured because some jerk might slip on our grass and "hurt" him or her selves.) So I agreed to buy the policy, and went online and signed it electronically while still on the phone call. A few months after that I got an email from my Allstate agent trying to sell me an umbrella policy!!! So I replied to the email, explaining that I already bought such a policy from Allstate. I attached a copy of the electronic contract and asked him if I had been exposed all this time thinking I was covered. I received no reply...no note apologizing, no note telling me he's gonna look into it, no nothin'. A month or so later I get a bill in the mail for the incremental umbrella policy cost...seems they forgot to execute that part. Again, no communication from my agent explaining that he found out where things broke down, or he found the stuck paperwork, or he's sorry...no nothin'. Just a friggin' invoice. After this fiasco, I finally had something to rate them on...something they were supposed to do for me besides cash my check and let me avoid that "Uninsured Motorists Fee" our state levies. I dredged up the Survey Link and spilled my guts. I filled in their survey about 2 years ago. Again, after receiving that tale of suck service, there has yet to be a response. So just a few minutes ago I get another Allstate survey email: "We’ve noticed that you have received this survey invitation in the past, but we have not heard from you. We hope you’ll consider giving us input. Feedback from our customers is critical in helping us improve our service and we act on it. We really are listening!" *sigh* I know, it's a 1st World Problem. And I am grateful that this is about the most egregious thing on my uncluttered radar screen. But I'll lay out the facts and see what happens. I've had Allstate for my car insurance since 1972, and for my home insurance since 1978. I knew my agent...I mean, I really knew my agent. I still remember his name. Now I'm just a number. I used to be able to negotiate stuff, but since then the government has got in the middle. My tenure of nearly 5 decades buys me nothing. If I file a claim that might trigger a premium increase, I cannot be treated any differently than some guy who just signed up last month and files the same claim. I know. It happened. I made the call and got the bad news.
I didn't say she was unattractive. If I had seen her morph over time, it might not have been such a shock. I do appreciated you allowing me my delusions...it's about all I got left that's of value.
Probably not a rant per se, but throughout the 2 years that the original show played, we see Jane snagging George’s wallet leaving him with a paltry single bill but she Never bought herself a different colored dress. Yup, pretty much wore the same dress for 2 years. Really set up a bad example for little girls wanting to grow up to be just like Jane. Other than that, no rants. Lovely day thus far. If I don’t strain something at the gym today, I think it will continue to be a lovely day.
Yeah, I saw that too. Bout time! She’s wearing bracelets and earrings and and even has a live in robot maid but he doesn’t even have a watch on his wrist.
OK, here's my rant. I'm having a terrible day and feel like death warmed over. I want to know why I'm bothering with this poison chemo making me sick when I felt perfectly fine a couple of months ago? Where did my life go? When I get a treatment the nurse is suited up like an astronaut with a plastic face shield, gloves, etc. while pumping poison into me. I come home and my body fluids are toxic to my family and pets and I feel so much worse than I have ever felt in my life. I don't recognize myself when I look in a mirror; who is that bald, swollen-faced old woman with the steroid rash and no eyebrows?? I can't go to see my best friend who has Parkinson's and has to have back surgery in a few days. This makes me so frustrated. She's alone with no family and I am unable to do a damn thing for her. I feel very weak and very sick and very angry.
