John, Thanks for posting photos I didn't see them until after I wrote my response. I was just awakened with a terrible leg cramp I have heat on it now, the pain has subsided so I figure I go online, I'm hoping for no aftershocks.
ok Got it... you seem to eat pretty good otherwise- so going to let you slide on the breakfast thigny
Tomato and parmesan cheese focaccia bread with some new sausage strips by Johnsville - not bad at all
That sounds really good!!! I had a basic breakfast today. Made a poached egg in the microwave, had Buttered toast and coffee.
I had coffee, toast and preserves. Wasn't really hungry. I am learning something with those comments aand photos above. I had a candy bar the other day. in fact I had two candies over three days after some comments here about coconut, Mounds were mentioned. I told my wife about the online conversation. She had four mounds bought and dropped off, two each. Maybe my nightime activity last night hendered my appetite. I stayed up until twenty till four this morning surfing the internet, reading and looking. Don't do that often. Don't usually have merely toast either.
That sounds like a good lite breakfast to me. Sometimes I'll just have coffee and toast with grape jelly or Jam. They say that breakfast is the most important meal. Haven't done it in a long while with covid but I really enjoyed going out for breakfast.
Last night, Robin and I went to a little Greek cafe for dinner on our “Girls Day Out”, and we each had a gyro plate, that came with salad, rice, the gyro meat, and lots and lots of sautéed peppers on top. We both had some left over, and I saved mine in the fridge overnight, and this morning had the rest of it , along with the last of the hummus and pita bread that comes with it. I don’t know how they make their hummus, but it is delicious ! I am going to have to see if I can find a similar recipe, because it was not over done with garlic and red peppers, just nice garbanzo flavor.
Garbanzo beans (chickpeas) we make a soup type dish called chi-chi's and pasta. We make it with med. Shell pasta and tomato sauce that has the consistency of tomato soup when mix with the pasta water. Salt, red & black pepper to taste. This is one of those depression recipes that's been in my family since the 20s.
