I like the relatively short time-out of being able to go back and edit and delete. I have to let go of it...I have no choice.
I’m always posting junk that should have gone out with the trash. No more. My impaired judgement has been restored, my vision is 20/20, my hearing is superior; I can hear that snail under my garden hose in the back yard. My brain is clicking along smoothly, thinking for itself, and saying to the rest of the body, “He’s lying. He’s used up like a flattened tube of tooth paste. Don’t believe a word he says.” So what you going to do?
The short edit time is the only thing I don't like about the mechanics on this forum. Nothing ever looks the same after you post something, as it does when you use an editor first, like Wordpad, or even hit Preview. I don't seem to be able to catch mistakes until I hit Reply and read it again later. I hate correcting things with a second post. It's even worse on pm's. You get maybe 5 minutes to edit.
I've always been one of those who needs to sleep on something and approach it with a fresh eye the next day. I always got work papers done early so I could Return & Improve. For that reason, I kinda find it freeing to know I needn't even bother here...just let it go. But there are things I read later that make me cringe...stream-of-consciousness does not always yield perfect phrasing.
Going tp get my roof replaced here shortly. Talked to my contractor a few days ago and I'm coming up to the 'Next' catagory. We'll see.
