Chicken B/S thighs on the BBQ that I dry marinated first.. Steamed cauliflower served with a cheesy sauce.. Stewed peaches served with heavy cream..
today I made a stir fry in the wok.. B/S chicken cubed and marinated in a stock sauce for some time.. Onions, garlic, broccoli, mushrooms, and pepper was the veggies...I ran short of liquid so I added some apple juice.. Awesome is putting it mildly..
B/S chicken thighs on the BBQ.. Steamed cauliflower...…. coleslaw Stewed peaches with heavy cream.. Pot of tea..
Burgers on the BBQ.. I made my own burgers using minced chicken.. made them rather on the big size so we each had only one burger.. NO BUN... A fresh salad with my own dressing.. Coleslaw.. Frozen caramel yogurt..
I bought it as it was on special... A 2L container for only $4.49……...It is a caramel swirl with bits of nougat in it... They also had a Cappuccino one that I will try next time.. They also had a mocha with chunks of chocolate.. Unfortunately, it isn't sugar free, but we limit ourselves to the amount we have at each serving..
Oh, OK. I have bought a pretty good SF ice cream but I hadn't seen anything like that. Cappuccino sounds good!
It is frozen yogurt, and not ice-cream... Not that there is a difference but the yogurt has better flavours..
Stir fry in the wok on the stove using cubed chicken breasts, onions, garlic, broccoli, mushrooms, and red peppers... I used stock as the liquid but at the end I was short of liquid so I used apple juice..
Today I made Swiss steaks on the BBQ (different).. I should of made a sort of a sauce to go with them, but I forgot so we ate them and they were very good anyway.. I have leftovers of course.. Sliced carrots and parsnips steamed and mashed with butter and chives.. Stewed peaches with heavy cream.. No more tea as that is mostly for the winter time..
Made a special (new) casserole for supper this time.. Chicken breast cubed with a ton of veggies and some sauce to cook it in.. It came out super good and we pigged out by eating the whole thing.. We were so full that there was no dessert..
Yesterday we went to Sudbury and I went to Walmart where I bought a BBQ chicken.. We had half the bird last night and the other half tonight.. Yesterday I made a Caesar salad and tonight I made steamed broccoli with a butter garlic sauce on it.. Frozen yogurt for dessert.. I bought a 2L bucket of black cherry frozen yogurt..
I have NOT been posting on here, as after my operation I am on a very special liquid diet for about 8 weeks if not more... I had a serious stomach operation which means healing is delicate and slow... During this incident, I lost 30 pounds... Not the way I wanted to lose, but nevertheless, I lost it.. I am below my goal weight but that I will deal with later on...
In any event, welcome back Steve and good to see you up and around even if you are limited. God must have something in mind for you so chin up and you’re on my prayer list for health, peace and strength.
Nice to "see" you Steve. Glad you're making a good recovery but I'm sure it frustrates you right now. Take care.
