The Italian-style sauce is what sets it apart from a tostada or Mexican pizza. Another favorite of mine is a Greek-style pizza with pepperoncini, thin-sliced lamb, olives, and Feta cheese. While I like Canadian bacon on a pizza, I don't like pineapple, so not into the Hawaiian pizza.
I know someone who claims that up north (Jersey) they tear open the pepperoncinis and drizzle the juice on their pizzas. I've not tried it, but I've always got a jar of them in the fridge...they're a routine salad ingredient.
It was hot today and I worked in the yard; got all sweaty. So we had tuna salad sandwiches on hoagie rolls, potato chips, dill pickles, and cold beer.
Had a late lunch, so tonight's gonna be a salad with cheese¹ & crackers. And a fudgesicle. And an apple bar. ¹End cut of Murray's Westminster Rustic Red Cheddar
