Porridge as we call rolled oats it’s delicious served nice and hot with a dab of butter , brown sugar ( just a tiny bit ) grated nutmeg ( I buy whole nuts a grate fresh as needed )

Cinnamon and raisons raise our blood glucose (sugar level), so we don't have. Do love plain bagels with cream cheese.
You are wrong---Cinnamon is a very good Antioxident and can lower blood pressure and fight inflamation, plus, raisins have health benefits as well.
This is what is said about raisons: "Sure, raisins are a wholesome source of carb by comparison, but they are still going to raise your blood sugar. In fact, raisins raise blood sugar so quickly that they are great for treating low blood sugars!" Lon, wife and I suffer from high blood sugars, that's why we are both Diabetic II. We both have eaten a cinnamon/raison bagel, done a blood glucose test later and the number was higher than it should be. Our normal blood glucose number is around 130 or so, but a few hours after the bagel, it was 175. So, cinnamon and raisons can be/are healthy, but there are those that can't have, or shouldn't have, either. My VA doctors advice, "stay away from both".
