An excellent question, Lieutenant. A "Donut Eating Contest" would be the easy road to take.... in truth, I think a "Donut Making & Marketing Contest" would be more productive in the end. Some think that donuts sell themselves, but that's not quite true. Believe it or not donuts, without change and new recipes and added bling, would become boring. We leave the "Donut Eating Contest to our customers.....and frankly, they seem to agree, and are "sprinkled pink"! Oh, and be sure to take along a few dozen of our best, back to the station.
It sounds like the folks running this convention are a bunch of stuffed shirts. Full of their own donuts.
Wasn't Nigel Travis ("former CEO of Dunkin Brands") the one responsible for developing a new healthy Spinach Banana Oat Donut? The added "bling" was the green color, which fades only slightly when it hardens. It was tested on little kids first because they don't know any better.
We just learned that Mary will be among the winners of the prestigious "Sprinkled Pink Donut" award for innovation and excellence, and for her work with the Orphaned Donuts of America Foundation. She, along with 11 others will receive the award tomorrow during the presentation. She was sprinkled pink when she got the news!
Well, we're calling it a day, last day of the Convention is tomorrow, so we want be wide awake for it! Til then.....
Good morning, all! We ended up watching DONT-TV's Late Nite Horror Movie classic, "Attack of the Killer Donuts"! Guess I need to issue a correction, @Nancy Hart ....seems there is a Donut Eating Contest scheduled today, and we plan to join in! Something NEW, for sure!
Coffee has taken a back seat, here at the convention, but it doesn't seem to mind! It remains to be a winning member of that Dynamic Duo of "Coffee & Donuts"!
