My hummingbirds fight with their reflection in the windows. I wonder what keeps all of those so calm.
I noticed that too. Maybe it's because the feeders aren't out there all day long. I'm sure he doesn't stand there very long. So when he does show up, there is no time to waste fighting. Everyone tries to get their share. Suppose?
Maybe they use a scarecrow type dummy, dressed in the same clothes, until the birds come round, then the guy takes the dummy's place dressed in similar clothes.
