I've been on an Alfred Hitchcock binge lately. Today it's "Vertigo" with James Stewart. (Not sure how many times I've seen it already, but still enjoy it.)
I watched 4 episodes of “Scorpion” last night. It’s fiction but it’s about 4 extremely smart people (genius’s in their own fields) who solve potentially unsolvable modern day criminal mysteries.
Yesterday we watched the movie Changeling with Angelina Jolie and directed by Clint Eastwood. Based on a true story it’s set in the twenties about a woman whose son disappears and when he’s found and returned isn’t the same child. It follows her fight to prove that she’s right and that the authorities are wrong.
This week I’ve been watching The Golden Horde on Tubi. This story takes place in ancient Russia and is a fictional account of the the war between ancient Russia and its Mongolian rulers, the acting is exceptional and the script is action packed. I’m actually going to watch it again as I’ve missed bits of the plot due to the huge amount of subplot details in the series.
I watched Fallout which is another Mission Impossible movie with Tom Cruise. I guess there was plot in there somewhere with all the chase scenes, explosions and fighting. You turn the brain off and the volume up and escape reality for a while.
Very telling about what mankind can do to each other, One to difinately watch early in the day or maybe not at all.
We started watching The Panic Room (for the 3rd time) during dinner. I abandoned it but the better half is snoozing on the sofa with the TV blasting.
