Red Robin in Charlottesville supposedly has reopened its doors. I may drive out there for some wings & o-rings. I was going to last night but they close early on Sundays, and I won't walk into a restaurant 15 minutes before closing time.
The sauce is on, so tonight for supper we're going to have pasta with sausage. My daughter just got back from the store with fresh Italian bread so I can't wait for supper.
So I drive out there (40 minutes one way) and dine-in has not reopened after all...they can't get help. There was one lone young girl taking Carry Out orders who was ready for life to get back to normal. I lied and put on an optimistic demeanor. I got home and put the stuff in the oven. I'm eating dinner now. It was worth the trip. I do like wings. I feel bad for enraged about the responsible people who are getting screwed for being so.
Today is sweet and sour chicken day with fried pot stickers as the side, our daughter will be joining us, I have pretty much given up on going out to eat except for very special occasions such as our anniversary, thankfully I enjoy cooking and have some super recipes I use for Asian, Mexican, German and American food.
Pasta today; I'm simmering meat sauce for spaghetti. Also garlic bread and salad. I found this Ina Garten recipe for baked cinnamon donuts and I'm thinking about trying them later. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/cinnamon-baked-doughnuts-recipe-2135621
Tonight for supper is going to be a smorgasbord of leftovers we have pasta, chicken, cold cuts, and hamburgers. Plus salad and Italian bread
