    Chinese Buffet

    Always the same...
    -Water & hot tea
-Hot & Sour soup w/Chinese noodles
-Calamari, (4) battered & fried shrimp, (1) fried chicken wing drumette, (2) fried pot stickers w/dipping sauce
-White rice, green beans, beef & onions (mostly onions), a few pieces of pepper chicken
    -Fortune cookie

Sometimes I may have dessert: (1) fried doughnut and some fresh cut fruit. Today I did not.

I've seen a few references to Kentucky Legend cold cuts in prior post, and it hasn't been available in my area until recently. The last visit I made to BJ's they had not only the cold cuts but other package Meats. I can't wait to try it. I'm told one of the local grocery stores carry it also.

It's not normal for me to rave about ham, but it's actually very good.

In fact, I didn't feel like really cooking tonight so I sautéed some fresh green beans and made a ham sandwich to go with it. I'm curious to see how you like it. @Hedi Mitchell turned me on to it.

It comes in different flavorings. We like the baked honey, or black forest ones the best. My SIL served it to us a few years ago and have been eating it ever since. It freezes well also.
They also have turkey breast is good.

We had a lot of chicken left over from yesterday's roast chicken lunch so I made enchiladas with a side salad for lunch today. We still have enough left to make four more for lunch on Monday

Gonna make a homemade Roy Rogers Double-R Bar Burger: a hamburger topped with a slice of seared ham & some cheese.

We don't have Roy Rogers in my area or any longer but when they were here that's the only hamburger I ordered. The only thing missing is that great sauce they have, I don't remember what kind of sauce but I know I enjoyed it.

I don't ever recall buying one, but I obviously do recall what it was. I always like their roast beef (same as Arby's.) RR was a little expensive for me, and Burger Chef was right next door.

I recall making lunch runs when I worked at a drug store (1972), and our pharmacist would order that sandwich and tell me to have them "brand it" (meaning well-well-done.) When you get some Kentucky Legend ham you can make your own! (And RR still exists in some markets.)

Here's my favorite commercial of all time (RR fried chicken.) Watch to the end.
