So I'm on the Virginia state forum of a nationwide website and someone posted that Youngkin won hours ago. I just changed to another channel and they called it for Youngkin!!! I am watching the Republican Lt. Governor give her victory speech. Not a current pic... "I didn't run to make history, I just ran to leave it better than I found it."
And we are close to taking the Attorney General office!!!!!! A friend here was on the Board of Supervisors (represented my district.) He said that people don't really care until things affect them personally. I guess the recent 3rd sexual assault of a girl by a boy-in-the-bathroom and then having the parents threatened by the FBI woke up some folks. The race was closer than it should have been...
I hope the Virginia vote holds, but we all know what can happen in the dark of night. On the Biden note, I saw part of his speech live and he said the reason the oil and gas prices are so high is because "the Russians and the Saudis are refusing to pump more oil" (despite my begging and pleading on my knees to both countries). The last in parentheses are my words, but the rest are Mr. Bidens. Nary a mention of his reversing Trump's energy independence and cancellation of the Keystone Pipeline.
So far Youngkin's win has stuck. I feel as though some of this dysfunctional weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. McAuliffe is a partisan hack who would help load the guns that Biden has pointed at our heads. Our children cannot be required to get injected with this stuff. I'm really interested to see how Youngkin is going to respond to Biden's COIVD mandates, some of which I hear are about to be codified in OSHA regs (to include mask and vaccine mandates for work-at-home employees.) Tennessee is passing (has passed?) legislation negating much of the new regs. I don't know how this will play out when their OSHA certification is taken away. I would love to have governors take these "laws created by agencies" issue before SCOTUS again. Regarding energy, many of the Biden's goofy followers seem to believe that if the oil we consume and the lithium we use are manufactured elsewhere, they have saved Mother Earth. You wanna see carnage, just wait until the Chinese start digging in Afghanistan. It's all part of Biden's America Last program, supported by both the willfully ignorant and the terminally stupid. I was going to say that most of this is a crisis of the media's doing, but I'm getting sick of excuse-making for adults who are willing idiots. Heck, even Jerry's Kids eventually stood up for themselves.

In the spirit of intellectual honesty, I found out that no such thing happened in Fairfax County. A friend who was on the Board of Supervisors is a life-long political junkie. He stayed in his business past midnight last night monitoring events on the state election board's, using his commercial internet speed. There were reasons that Fairfax County's mail ins were not reported early, but those reasons were legit. (Sorry for the Biden thread detour.)
The regs you mentioned were connected to the Chevron decision that was the real target of Conservatives at the Supreme Court, not Roe v. Wade as the media portrayed. You can look it up at the link or elsewhere. The Libs have set the precedent with the "Sanctuary Cities/States", etc. and the cannabis laws in establishing that states cna simply choose what Federal laws and regs they choose to enforce and obey. The Conservatives are now using that precedent with gun laws and environmental restrictions, as well as vax mandates and other things.
So, when Biden is asked about the plan for a $450,000 per-person payout to illegal immigrants, he says that isn't going to happen. Later, a White House spokesperson says that the president was misinformed. It's interesting that the president is misinformed about what we are supposed to believe are his own decisions. It's interesting also that they send him out to the podium without informing him of his own policies. I know he's all but braindead, but it seems that his staff is going out of their way to sabotage him, too. Or did he forget what he had been informed of?
It disgusts me the way the media hammered on Trump, yet even when overseas Biden's handlers bums-rushed the press out of the room...and nary a peep from anyone. They are so corrupt, they are on the front lines of the destruction of our nation (and possibly all 1st world societies) and they say nothing.
