I ordered a 4 foot Christmas tree through Walmart recently. It was from Topbuy 4' Fiber Optic Artificial PVC Christmas Tree w/ Met $42.95/EA Qty: 1 It was delivered last Saturday. I have never been as disappointed as I was when I opened the box. See the beautiful lush, green tree? This is what it looked like. Needless to say, I'm sending it right back. I went to Walmart yesterday and bought one. It's a really pretty little tree. And it only cost $25. It was the last 4 foot tree they had and the only other ones they had were the ones they had on display. The girl in that dept. said that they have started selling them.
Wow. Sorry you were disappointed, Shirley. I really dislike that Walmart and Amazon have all the 3rd party sellers on their websites. It's easy to get duped and think you are ordering from Walmart or Amazon when it's some shady seller. I was on the Walmart website earlier today and had to sift through them. Annoying.
I could go for that kind of stuff myself. Check out any washed out creek banks too. Stuff gets exposed sometimes from flooding.
That isn't available on all the items for some reason. I always look for it, but it annoys me that I have to.
Once I get my pics reduced & organized, I'm gonna start a dedicated thread. There are parts that are basically ditches, and then there are parts that are 25 feet wide with banks 8'-10' tall with creeks converging seemingly out of nowhere. I discovered that my camera has a gps feature on it, so I'm gonna try to use it to map parts of the creek. I've been out nearly every day for 2-3 hours and have not found anything yet.
That stinks. I had no idea. I noticed that at some point EBay let you know the shipping point of origin, but I think that lots of stuff merely comes into the states (California/New York) and gets shipped from there rather than China-direct.
When I shop on Amazon, I usually click the thing for Prime Delivery, although I still rarely receive items according to the Prime delivery deal, and the search still includes some items that are not eligible for Prime.
It had lights on it but I didn't bother to take it out of the box. That's the first time I haven't been satisfied with an online order.
I was gonna say that you could click the link for "Bad Product Description" and report it, but by the time it makes its way through the system, Christmas will be over. I never considered that seasonal stuff was ripe for fraud.
Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown. This reminds me (sort of) of the time I was eating at a Chinese restaurant around this time of year. I've always eaten dinner late, so I was the only one in the place that evening, and the staff was putting together their artificial tree. There they were...three confused Chinese folks, on the floor, passing the imported Christmas tree assembly instructions back & forth, each trying to decipher them. I had to smile.
I ordered these along with a few other small items. I will send them back tomorrow. They might hold down corner ends but I need something to hold the sides under. Had hoped they would work.
I ordered a couple of pieces of Le Creuset; a grill pan for my stove's oval burner and a 3.5 qt sauteuse pan.
