Ok, I'll sit in that seat first, then I nominate @Mari North. For once I sure am glad Mari doesn't live near me. As you noticed I didn't put @Diane Lane or @Bonnie Thomas in for nomination, they can get to me. So where should we put this bit of silliness, and for how long do we have to sit in this "Hot Seat"? Plus I reserve the right to fabricate. No I promise to be truthful. I don't fib very well, and I'm told I look like a mouse looking for any crack I can find to hide in. Since @Terry Page , went night night, who else can we get to referee? Anyone want to play today?
What? Uh... Okay... but I have no idea what this means. What seat? We should probably move this to the game section... and once you do, @Ina I. Wonder , then tell me how to play. Something like Truth or Dare? Oh, Mari could be a world of trouble here!
@Ina I. Wonder , I think it shouldn't be in the good morning thread. Plus I think people have to volunteer to be in the hot seat. It has to be done the right way or it will end up a hot mess.
@Chrissy Page , Check the game section and see what you think is needed or should be taken out. Like when do you think we should start?
Morning Everyone I'm excited we received a little rain last night ,hubby measures it at 9 am and it's only 7.30 am Thursday ...it's been so so hot and dry for so long ..We have had 4 days of really humid weather ,this part of Aust normally has dry heat ..the humid places are up the top of Aust ..in Queensland ..
@Kate Ellery , I live in Houston, Texas on the Gulf of Mexico, so I can relate to your discomfort. We get a lot of humidity, and sometimes it is so bad that you can see everyone slowing down because it gets hard to breath. Of course I could move to a dryer part of the country, but like so many, this is where my family and life have been, and at this age I sure don't feel like moving. When we're in a drought, I always think there should be a way to wringe the water out of rhe humidity.
Good morning to you all on a dry but grey Thursday, a few computer tasks to do for Lisa's university work, editing audio files which can be tedious at times. After lunch we go to the Mariinsky to see the ballet Sylvia which I am looking forward to. Have a great day
G'Mornin', Terry and everyone.... It's 6.45 am...and a little cold and damp, but no sleet..that's a bonus!! Hope you have a lovely time at the Ballet , Terry..
It's a shade milder this morning, largely due to the pleasing absence of the cold wind we've had in the past few days. Something else that pleased me was glancing at my Amazon book page and finding that someone had give me a five-star review (wooo!) for my novel. It can't last, but I'll wallow in the temporary glory. Not much to see on the recycling run this morning, but these jackdaws appear to have found something interesting.
GOOD morning, Everyone! I see three of you have already beat me here... but all in different parts of the world, so not quite as early as it was for me when I arrived all groggy-eyed. @Holly Saunders No sleet is definitely a bonus! How long yet until you will see spring arrive in its full glory? Probably a few weeks yet for me although this week is kind of warm. @Tom Locke I always enjoy being greeted in the morning with your beautiful photography! @Terry Page Good morning! I hope you'll have a great time at the Mariinsky! Uh.... well now isn't THAT an unnerving name?! " Mari in sky ".... uh.... can't you like go to the Market Street Theater or something instead? I'm not in the sky yet... but I will take that as a nudge to be extra careful today.
@Mari North ..it's funny because we already have the daffs growing, because some days are really gloriously sunny and then the very next day we get snow /sleet or rain, and it's bitterly cold... for example I took this photo..just 4 days ago...but since then it's been sleeting and raining really hard..although today it's dry... hopefully we'll start to see the full effects of spring by the start of April
Oh @Holly Saunders , that's so beautiful! We have a few starting, too, but we've been known to have blizzards in mid March, so I don't think Ol' Man Winter has had his last hooray yet. Maybe.
Good morning all. @Bonnie Thomas , @Diane Lane , I hope both of you if not high, are at least dry. I sometime think the people of this metropolis have weather stupidity. Yesterday morning, I turn my car around and scuttled home like all good little creatures. I wake up at 4:30 am this morning, and yep stupidity abounds on our roads and freeways. It's pretty bad when you have 18 wheelers hanging from overhead freeways. Ok, rant over, stupid people .......... ! But on the other hand, we did pick up some much needed rain. Maybe I'll even get to do some work in my garden. At least the ground will be softer where I wish shove my sharpshooter into the ground.
