Fancy, we have many passengers needing feeding and rest. You promised to help. Likewise we need Mr Bates to attend to our numerous passengers' needs in his Motel. He can see to his Mother's needs as required and maybe later, once settled and rested, we can pay our respects with maybe Dolly and a guitar player singing her a song or two, maybe. This is no time for niceties now, let's keep things in perspective. Thank you. Please. Perhaps later Mr Bates. How's your phone line Mr Bates? How're everyone's mobile phone connections. I have a weak signal but good enough to send some text messages, good. I've sent a few updating our position. They replied saying the storm is getting worse with sub zero Artic Winds headed our way. Batten down said Office Manager Sabrina from LA and keep in touch. I told her our position. Fancy, could you help Steve take care of the group staying on the bus and nuke them some free frozen meals. Steve is there to help you and is running the heaters off Bate's power box, at a low price. Dolly has volunteered some of her crew's food stock, steaks, spuds, pies, Burgers, beer, .. pizzas...whatever...even the prawns but not the Lobster. That's Charly's favourite apparently. George Bates gave into Dolly's man Jeff's first low offer to fill all his hotel rooms, often doubling up guests for a warm comfortable sleep and Dinner, and Breakfast,.... Dolly's Jeff did have the knack, but Mr Bates had an aspect of fiscal Naivety. Hence the flicking sign no doubt. Some of Dolly's people took charge of Bates' kitchen and pantry, which was sparse. I asked vocalist Melissa to get some better food off the bus. Hans went with her with bags and a long list. ''Wouldn't want to see all that fine food spoil, best eat up while we can." said Dolly. SS Richie, how about you get some able volunteers to keep watch and listening to news casts, radio, ...the Bus probably has the best radio gear compared to Chez Bates. A dusty dump from what I 've seen. ...,.Desparate times often bring out desparate people too I reckon Richie. Keep an eye out for any irrational panickers I reckon, and help out with those in need,
Of course, we must do our duty. I don't know what I was thinking, even considering gaiety at a time like this. Dolly always has a food truck following her bus. There is enough food to feed all of us for several days until the storm lets up. Between the motel and the sleeping quarters on the bus, we should be quite comfortable. How long is the blizzard predicted to last?
Out of character: I'm currently watching the Australian Tennis finals too, and some Women's cricket. Our Ash Barty won the chocolates in the Women's singles final. 44 years since that last happened. She's brilliant! I just watched our Men's doubles win their final too. Well done Guys! The Men's singles final is very soon and I hope Nadal wins knocking Novax off his perch..... Sorry, back to character: Dolly's big supply truck is a great bonus. Drivers/Mechanics, roadies, all the stage equipment, instruments, refrigerated food, 2 Cooks and lots of dried and canned food. Dolly's Jeff did his usual brilliant job of organising everything. I helped of course but Jeff was the man. I nearly got in his way a few times. Dolly's cooks took over Bate's kitchen and he skulked away. Funny strange man I thought, so did Jeff and SS Richie. After dinner Dolly's group and her did rehearsals which almost everyone crowded around to watch and hear. She is a star for sure.
My Grandkids and kids all got me one of those smart phones last year and showed me how to take pictures and movies with it. I took lots of movies of the rehearsal, especially for SS Richie. My granddaughter Jemma said not to emale any clip over 20 mags so I later put it in the Kloud for Richie and all. These smarty phones are amazing. I like them. You played really well SS Richie, you're a star. Heaps of other people made thier own smart movies. I bet you're on Facetube already. I'll search.
Barty Party. The Special 'Ks'. Evidently they have played each other since they were kids. Missed that match. All Aussie final too. Where can I find a replay Terry.
I am hearing some strange stories about Bates. Wonder what he cooks in his kitchen. And have any of you seen his mother? One of Dolly's group went up to the house and saw two bedrooms.. one ws in use while the other looked unused.. at least there was no one in the bed.Yet Bates said his mother was a bed ridden invalid. So where is she. Just as well you rejected his dinner up at that gloomy house Fancy.
Staff Sgt Richie and Jeff, fancy a stroll up to the old house? Richie, do you have a gun? I can loan you mine and Steve keeps a taser and a pepper pepper spray I could borrow. Sometimes we get unruly passengers. Has anyone seen that young lady Lara?
I'll lure Bates to the kitchen and keep him there while y'all check out the house. Look for Lara while y'all are there. Be sure to check the attic and the basement. Look for any secret rooms, too.
Ok Fancy, that's the plan then. Come on Guys, lets do it. We crept up to the house in the dark quietly keeping our ears tuned for any strange noises. Jeff whispered he thought he'd heard some moaning. Fancy keeping George Bates busy promised to phone text me if he left. I kept my phone on silent with just the vibration to alert me. Arriving at the house we found the front door locked. Jeff took out something and 'click', the door was open.
