I thought that old Bathosphere was a relic Richie. I wouldn't trust it greatly underwater but powered up it could still act as a decompression unit at a pinch. Would you mind if I checked it for leaks sometime, and fix them too, if you wish?
Diving first of course Richie. I like your plan concentrating on the edges.
As initially agreed, I brought my two marine personal electric powered Scooters. They're good to 2000' way beyound us humans without tempting the bends. They have lights and a data screen with depth alarms, etc. See, William here is on a learning simulator. They also each have a camera. Have a go.
'It's easy' quips William showing Richie the basics and menus.
JJ whispers into Richie's ear: "I reckon any Marine Museum would love that Bathosphere Richie. At least 2 millUS$? It's beautiful Marine history!"

Lillian, your assistant William has shown great aptitude on my mini submarine drone, naturally mainly on my simulator program. I'd be happy for him to drive my Marea sub drone, he has great aptitude, no doubt from all the computer games he misspent his youth on, whist doing his Master's in Engineering and Computing.
I'm confident he can run Marea as good as me, if not better. PhD next he tells me.

@ Richie, 'Looking at the edges would usually be shallow enough to scuba explore which is great. Also shallow enough for my mini submarine bot and my 2 scooters. I like your plan Richie."

Now we're almost at your point alpha Richie, lets feed Dolly the Dolphins pod I say as I am scared of Sharks and they fear Dolphins. True. Dolphins are as smart as most humans and Angelic Children of all the Seas.
Plus, 2 anti shark ankle sonic emmiters and the 2 underwater scooters have that inbuilt too. No surf or wind boards. That was fine.

Dolphins are generally fine with the emmiters having a tolerance given their own intelligence and large sonic vocabulary. I checked it out using google once. I even think there's a language connection with shark repellers. Even I reckon they sometimes copy certain sonics...or do we?

Anyway, I'm good to go Richie. It's shallow enough here for us divers to descend but be sure to ascend carefully to avoid the Bends, ad you know of course.
BTW, here's a diver's knife like mine, a gift. All titanium with a tough pommel end and a super fine edge on its blade and point.

JJ perfect to have William in control of Marea as he does not dive.

Those underwater scooters are just the thing for low level dives. I used them while in the Seals. Actually I have had a fascination with marine scooters since I saw them in James Bond's Thunderball as a kid.

Our updated Seedoo seated scooters will save us vital energy which we will need exploring so far down. I also suggest we carry two tanks each for a prolonged dive. Mitzi insists she join me on my scooter..seems to be room for two and I have never been able to deny my babe anything since we met.

Please Lillian if you can find time today, I'd appreciate if you can monitor us on the sonar. We are expected to be underwater for two hours. We can search a large area in that time.

Have Carlos prepare us a big lunch. Those lobsters we snared yesterday will do fine. Simple cold tails, French bread, cheese platter. We will be ravenous when we surface.

Yes looks like fun and under different circumstances it is. But this is serious as we may have found one of the lost Avenger airplanes from Flight 19 in 1945. Aren't you just a little bit excited Lillian. It will help your paranormal research too.

"Lillian, with your William driving the marine bot Marea you can oversee him and us. My marine robot Marea is faster than even divers on marine scooters, heaps of lights, camera, tools, specimun pockets, ...
and most importantly, can dive to 1000m, way beyond divers without much effort, if possible? Which is about the deepest depths here abouts on the edges of the mysterious Burmuda triangle.

Maybe let your William drive while you control her two arms, and observe. Marea has 360 degree vision with powerful lights for an observer and powerful driver front vision, with very powerful front lights,...all recorded and sent to all in technicolor. She works best with two contollers. Many hands make ..."

JJ shows some pictures and chats about them:

    images.jpeg.jpg

fifish-pro-w6-with-iamging-sonar-2.jpg This is Marea without the second arm I added, attached and hidden underside. It also can act as an electric stunner if required. The middle front arm is more powerful with a few multi heavy tools and several weapon options too like its blowtorch.

    dfgfghg.jpg

The Remus 6000 (m) shown is the best available and extremely expensive. Many tens of millions. 6000m is about 10 000 ft. And that's the only submarine bot to get down to those trenches in the triangle.

It was an unsuccessful first dive. No sign of the plane or any other wreckage. On resurfacing Richie rechecked the first sonar co-ordinates of the plane like impression all of us had seen clearly yesterday. Nothing. The plane had vanished. Had there been some underwater disturbance overnite that shifted the wreckage? There is always tomorrow when we will cover an area further west.
Our mood soon faded from disappointment to hunger as we tucked into Carlos' lobster lunch. Sure went down a treat.

Lillian how is your paranormal research doing. What is your main aim from this expedition. Curious also about William's background. I suspect he may have been a colleague of yours at NC University where you worked for a time.

That lobster was delicious Carlos. Well done. Keep it up but don't give Dolly the Dolphin Matriarch any, please.

Richie, that was weird not finding anything. Mario said we'd kept our gps position nicely. At 70' only we Divers were able to get to the sea floor and scan carefully. Agreed there was little signs. William and Lillian did a deeper and broarder search. Still nothing? Weird after the Sonar scans.

It was at least it was a good practice run for us all. Us divers did well surfacing slowly to avoid the bends. 130' is about the maximum depth us scuba divers can go, but Marea can go to 3000' or 1km. William showed off his digital thumb skills driving Marea here there and everywhere at fast speeds.

Lets carry on and keep looking. We learn n grow from our failures I reckon.
Pulling up anchor Mario takes the helm and sets way for the next point of Richie's interest... a few hours away and drop anchor before sunset.
Then pre dinner drinks...reviewing all the videos recorded.

One of Mitzi's showed a disturbance from behind a huge pitted rock. Signs of a giant Octopus I said looking closer myself. Thankfully we left it to its own solitude. A nesting female I bet? Very protective and she'll die giving her all to her children...

Garlic King Prawns tonight in a medium hot red curry with basmati rice and asian veges Carlos whispered to me. I'm in heaven! Sav blanc too.

The men and their machines have awakened the monster who lies on the ocean bottom. She stirs and opens her eyes. She smells the scent of men. She remembers how good they taste. It has been a long time since she fed. Slowly she rises through the briny deep. The dolphins sense her presence and start jumping and emitting distress signals.

Lillian twice I have asked you in private about William and twice you have not replied. Not like you cousin. Is there something you dont want revealed. We are family afterall and on a more official note I am running this expedition so all my crew and guests are my responsibility.

Will keep a watchful eye out for that giant mother octopus as I dont want us to be covered in the ink she uses to ward off predators. It is widely believed that octopi emit a deadly venom when biting. None do except the world's smallest.. the blue ringed octopus.. which are mostly found in Australia. (a pic below)

    Whilst anchored at point Alpha:

Indeed Richie, beware of the blue ringed Octopi, but I doubt this giant mother is poisonous. Just massive it seems.Very big.

Giving birth she is starving herself to death protecting her young.

With your permission Richie, I'd like to feed a lot of my personal Seafood to our Mama Octima. (Loved the clip Shirley). Filming this all could be worth millions, and I still feel such creatures to be sacred.

Did you know Octopi have 9 brains. One in each leg and one its head brain. They even regrow lost limbs and are smarter than most dogs.

    So, any volunteers to help?
Lillian, how about you and William controlling Marea? Richie?

If you get back. smiley laugh out loud.gif

Go ahead JJ . Better a friendly giant than a cranky one. Those tentacles have always given me the willies. I expect they can crack human ribs fairly easily. When you resurface we will relocate further west to try to locate the missing airplane.
