Cloudy and windy, gonna hit 70°F today. Forecasts have been consistently calling for all-day rain on this date since a week ago. I went to bed at 2AM and the forecasts (WeatherUnderground, Weather Channel, NOAA) continued to state "heavy rain starting at 8AM." I got up 6 hours later to read "a chance of showers starting at 2PM." Thanks for helping me plan my day, professional weatherpersons. [spits on ground] To top it all off, wind gusts are 40MPH. "Out like a lamb" my butt. You can't even trust hackneyed weather sayings anymore.
I thought we were going to have an early spring but it's pretty slow warming up around here. I'm waiting another week to replant my indoor starter vegetables.
It has been going back and forth between beautiful sunny weather, to cold and dreary winter weather, but I think that we are finally done with the 39+ degree weather for this spring. I am still keeping the aerogardens busy starting more veggies, and then setting them out bit by bit as the weather warms up enough for each one.
Low 80's and "severe weather" headed our way; the sky is getting darker by the minute. Expecting hail, rain, high winds and possible tornadoes.
Kool. I've got nieces and nephews in Dallas. Tornadoes are more dangerous than hurricanes. Keep a watch.
We are in the " Swing Season" when the temperature sings a lot. It is down in the teens in the morning and reaches mid 40s F. by afternoon. Bright and sunny though and still snow on the ground but seems to be melting fast. Lots of mud where the snow has melted in the driveway and on the dirt roads.
Tornadoes possible as the cool hits the heat today. We are not quite in 'tornado alley' but have had some damaging ones in Wisconsin. Thankfully, our big lake saves our town from most problems.
