In the 60s Les Brown came out with this album revolving Bandstand. It was an interesting concept as the song that was playing was ending it would Fade to the right has the new song increase in volume to the left given the effect of revolving. This could only be appreciated on a stereo system. As an added bonus there was a nice variety of music.
From the soundtrack of "Sling Blade," one of my all-time favorite movies. The song is called "Jimmy Was."
He's OK. Most horn players don't view him as being technically all that good. Same goes for Chuck Mangione...and Kenny G. I do have a couple of the T.J. Brass albums...I like their Christmas album. They're like McDonald's: not the highest quality but the drive thru is always packed. Besides, Herb married one of the singers from Sergio Mendez's group Brazil '66 (Lani Hall), so that's another reason to be jealous: A&M Records stands for Alpert & Mendez.
LOL well she is a pretty woman so at least if hes not that good a horn player he has good taste in women, huh? I don't know much about horns I do know somewhere I have the most beautiful song with a horn 'Deep Purple' its a 1930s song but that flute of horn could talk. I forgot the name of it. A couple local guys had recording studio and sometimes played at local Cheers type bars.
