Good morning everyone! We will get rain too, Karen. It's supposed to start in about an hour. My grass hasn't looked this green in a long time but that will end as soon as the heat and no rain season begins. Have a great Sunday, with the exception of Kate. Happy Monday to her. I'm dragging today, my shoulder hurts.
That's beautiful @Babs Hunt, it looks very peaceful. @Terry Page Those church and cemetery pics were great, thanks for tagging me in your Russia thread! @Holly Saunders @Corie Henson Is well, as far as I know. I've seen her elsewhere, we share a few different forums. Good Morning, Y'all. Happy Sunday. It seems everyone's a bit confused about the time change. I didn't even realize until yesterday that we were changing it. I haven't changed my wall clocks yet because they all need new batteries anyway, so I'll wait until I get those, to change the time. Everyone's fed, the birds are chirping, and my chest is acting up, so I'm taking my hot tea with lemon and honey and going back to bed for a bit, to watch some TV, read, and hopefully sleep a little. Have a great day, y'all!
Evening all... Well we didn't end up going over to the Olivers pub after all...because my back was hurting too much to drive the 30 mile round trip through very narrow country lanes and twists and turns everywhere in a manual car.. hubs drove us in my car out to one of the closer villages and we had lunch there sitting in the sun overlooking the lakes ...I drove back because he'd already had alcohol..had a good day though...didn't get home until about 7pm.. Thanks for the info @Diane Lane , about @Corie Henson , I'm pleased she's ok, tell her we miss her here.. I hope everyone who was in pain when they posted today, feels a little better now..((hugs))
Too bad you didn't get yo go where you planned on, Holly but still sounds like a good day, except for tha back pain. I've watched a few different shows with Jamie Oliver, did he become a chef because his parents were or did his parents own a restaurant because their son is a chef?? My shoulder doesn't hurt as much as it did this morning....thanks.
Chrissy the Olivers had the pub first and Jamie grew up learning to cook from his father... ..oooh it's ok we don't mind not getting there, we're surrounded by beautiful pubs cloe by anyway... Glad to hear your shoulder pain has eased a little.. ... here's a pic from today and the view from the pub/restaurant terrace where we sat.. ...and a little further down the lake where we walked after lunch....
Looks lovely, your weather must be fairly warm judging by the short sleeves on the men in the canoe, or do they work up a sweat?
I suspect they work up a sweat Chrissy, it was pleasant, but not exactly warm .. only about 55 degrees f today..I had a jumper and a sleeveless body warmer on as did hubs..
I'm guessing a body warmer is a vest? I forget what a jumper is, only that it's not the same as what we consider a jumper to be.
You need to come here and spend time with us at our many rivers and country streams Kate...you'd like it
Thanks, Holly....now I remember...a sweater. The sleeveless padded jacket is a vest. Wether it's warm or lightweight, it's a vest. At least in the places I've lived. Don't know the whole US.
I thought in the USA a vest was what we call a waistcoat... A vest here is either mens' underwear.... or a ladies strappy top...
