It was good times. In 1968 Artie Shaw came out of retirement and he recreated his band of 1938. He didn't play any longer, so he selected a clarinetist he felt was closer to his playing I can't remember his name maybe buddy DeFranco. Basically he recorded his songs in the best Fidelity at the time it's a great album. Here's one of the tunes from that album. X
My mother read music and played piano ,she was a very good pianist. She performed on stage before family life. Grandad had her taking lesson's at 6 year old.
That's great nice to have a musician in the family. I always loved music but never had the talent to play anything.
I wish she would have taught me to play, she said she got burnt out teaching piano as a child.I loved watching her play though.
