Leftover pot roast from Friday. Not really in the mood but it's easy. :D I'll made a salad and later homemade ice cream for dessert.

Bobby wanted/needed to go to Walmart, so I was checking the reduced items in the deli and found a large pizza for about half price.
I added lots of veggies, peppers, mushrooms, onions, pepperoni Nikes, and some fresh cherry tomatoes and basil from the garden. By the time I was done, it was a Loaded Pizza , and we enjoyed it a lot !
There is still half of it left for snacking later, or for breakfast in the morning, too.

Sometimes I'll buy one of their meat pizzas and load it with veggies, shrooms and extra cheese. They're pretty good.

My neighbors bought me a rotisserie chicken yesterday.

-I had it for dinner last night
-I had a chicken sammich for lunch today.
-I had it for dinner tonight.

I picked the rest of it for a bunch of more sammiches & froze it.

Never heard of it. I assume it's different than a regular old whole fruit cherry pie.

Pie has a cream filling made with cream cheese, whipping cream and sugar, whipped and topped with cherry filling. All in a pre-baked pie crust.

Ok, putting my money where my mouth is. I have my freezers full of two different cows and need to start preparing them in earnest. Hubby wants chili. Of course he does. It is JULY. Actually it needn't be winter to enjoy it and you can leave it sit for a few days in the fridge. So you don't have to worry about cooking more in the heat. Or you can freeze some for later lazy meals. The beans are years old from Aldis. More expensive now. The tomatoes/onions are mine. Spices don't stay super fresh for years and years but he doesn't like super hot food and we have a lot so I can add a bit more for me.
Point is, even if everything does not end up as shtf but turns out happily ever after, food is still a great investment done right. Better than bitcoin.;)
Outside, I find edible flowers to add a bit of fun to dishes.

I applaud your subtly linking homemade chili with the phrase "SHTF."

    Well played, Mary.
