I was going to listen to my snarky side and say, "Why in hell don't you just SOB, then?" But then my kinder, gentler side spoke up. I decided to say, "Well, dear, there is always the option not to read them, you know."
Now Bobby you just made me laugh with what you just said about me....I'm not a sourpuss and not wild about slapstick, and did I say I hate slackstick. I very rarely use the word hate.... You assume a lot about me, you have no idea who I am
Pretty cruel I'd say, I grew up with them but could care less about them. If I had the desire to laugh and wanted to hook up tv again, I unhooked it 5 yrs ago, I'd watch re-runs of Golden Girls, Archie Bunker, 2/1.2 Men (not so much but some) and probably some others. My last years of TV I enjoyed National Geo, Discovery and that ilk.
Gotta tell the truth Shirley. I wasn’t sure what other words would fit SOB and the first two I thought of was Slide on by or soggy old bottom. Since “slide on by” fit the sentence, that’s what I opted for.
I used to babysit my neighbor's 2 boys (5 and 9 years old.) They had a 3 Stooges CD set. Like many TV comedy series, the CDs do not break the show up with commercials...without those breaks, it makes the shows tiresome. -We watched the first episode and we laughed. -We watched the second episode and politely giggled. -We watched the 3rd episode and the 9 year said "This is stupid." So we played Boggle.
