When I was a Navy wife...and lived in Married quarters..there was a few service wives who were 'playing away' while their husbands were at sea... and to let the men they were having flings with know that the husbands were not at home, they would put a packet of OMO in the window...it stood for ''Old Man Out''... and it meant the coast was clear for any of their fancy men to come and visit.. ..true story.
